The Pitstop Saloon — Restaurant in Kenner

My husband and I came into town for a couple of months because his oldest is a marine and stationed close by. On my husbands birthday we decided to go and sing karaoke and brought a group full of people(2 car loads). We got there just as karaoke was supposed to be starting and we all got a round of drinks. We had to notify the kJ that we wanted to sing as he was ,during the posted times, hanging out eating and not at all seemingly working. Once we finally got him to get started we still had to wait another 30 min and his preparedness level was amazingly low as he didn’t even have batteries for his mics. After helping him sort that problem out, he finally managed to start karaoke. One of us were able to sing and apparently no one else was trying to sing so instead of playing a song or two and allowing ya to continue as most would, he decided to play some strange choice of heavy bangy music that instantly gave me a migraine and that continued for 30 min or so before we had to walk up and ask what was going on we thought t was karaoke night not disk jockey night. Another half hour and the other got t sing then a few more singers but by this time we were just not interested in being in there anymore. Our friend from out of town was harassed about his service dog and a few boys who thought they were bigger than they were tried picking a fight with my husband who by the way is a veteran and 6’4” and can really be the wrong guy to pick on so instead of staying and allowing the evening to go on much longer while we did not at all enjoy ourselves, we called it a night and we all went home. Safe to say we will not be back. The crowd is too hipster and tweakerish . Just wasn’t very professional at n any way. The bartender was kind however and tried to keep everything at a dull roar and the kj on point but other than her not really ur kind of...

This is a must GO TO place. If you're local residents or Visitors, this bar is so laid back but it's exciting at the same time. You won't find not one bad blood in here. The bartenders are amazing. The drinks are A-1. Yet, you can pick your own music, maybe catch a DJ once or twice out the week, sometimes there's a live band. Just bring yourself as is or dress up... trust me, you'll fit in and WILL ENJOY EVERY MINUTE YOU'RE...

The Pitstop Saloon is a bar room for people 21 and up to come out to play billiards and darts 7 days a week open for 11:00 am to 2:00 am they got Pool League on Monday till Thursday Friday night and sometime Saturday night but much of the time it's a band and on Sundays it's swamp pop from 3:00 PM til 7:00 PM and drinks are pretty reasonable so come out...
