Don't judge a book by its cover, this Restaurant is a Kentucky Gem. I pre-judged this restaurant as a tavern, so I expected a greasy spoon cuisine. As I walked in I saw the flashing lights of Mandelorean Pin Ball machine, this began to excite me. The women's bathroom had a picture of Sara from Labrynth and on the men's room Jareth. I walk in and people are playing with billiards, and it was family oriented and fun. There was a Juke Box and some dining area. But I decided to venture further and there was a perfect spot in a room painted like van Gogh Starry Night. There were two leather arm chairs and a table, it is an invisible table. The restaurant didn't put that table in, it just appeared in the restaurant one day. The staff was amazing, they were cordial and quick. An interesting thing if you wanted a burger, fries, and a beer; you have to order everything individually.
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING. THE FOOD My table ordered Cheese Sticks, which were amazing. The batter was delicious and crisp and the cheese is soft and not stringy. Super Delicious! I ordered a Patty Melt with seasoned fries. The seasoned fries, were very close to Rally's Fries. The Patty Melts was chessey and oniony on pan grilled rye bread. The meat was tender and seasoned deliciously, I ate the entire burger, which tells you it was amazing. My partner had an Oyster Po'boy, which was huge and stuffed generously with fried oysters. In fact there were two oysters who could not fit in the Sandwich, which was offered to me. The batter was crisp and the meat was tender and briney. And we decided to share the fries.
Another thing there Aolis were amazing, choose one of their sauces from the basil mayonnaise, Cajun mayonnaise, and garlic mayonnaise. They are treat on anything they make there. It may cost you $0.50 but it is worth it. Really a beautiful touch to a sandwich and fries
They have huge tables that are ideal for large games, I told someone that it would be a great place to run a D&D chronicles đ It would an amazing to have trivia or adult game night.
The one suggestion I would have, Knock Hockey and Fusebal. That is only, if they want to be this 45 year old,...
Read moreFirst, weâre from out of town. I specifically wanted a local tavern with personality. As you pull into the parking lot itâs very bland and no frills. It was then I knew I was in the right place. My traveling companions had their doubts, but I knew the place would have personality. I hate places that donât. I told them that if, when we walk in, at least four people donât turn and stare at us, weâre leaving. We got five head turns, and I was home. I knew we were in the right place. These folks all appeared local and we were greeted by a friendly female bartender who asked, âHow yâall doinâ?â Yup. I knew it was a solid pick. First, I donât want touristy places, second, locals are and should always be curious about whoâs walking in because more times than not, itâs someone they know. Ample seating here. Pool tables. A poker game going on in the back room. Juke box! Need I say more? Ok, just a few words. Beer is served here, only beer (well, food too but no spirits). So if youâre looking for bourbon, you best bring it in your own flask, like the fella I saw carrying it in his back pocket. But seriously, Iâm not sure if thatâs kosher, so best ask first. Beer was cold, service was friendly, and quite casual. Donât be afraid to go to the bar and order your second round if the waitress isnât around. No frills and chill here. I bet the stage has some great music at night. Would love...

We had to go to the bar and ask for our check, then the waitress came and said we had to pay at the bar no checks to look at..they didn't know what we ordered or what we had, I told her I never got my fish and she said I never ordered it! I was pissed they didn't know what the brothers and wives had either they asked one of them if they had a to go order and the other if he had hush puppies to go....again with no check to verify the cost one brother paid 50 something for 2 meals, one brother paid 36.00 for 2 meals...I wound up throwing 25.00 on the bar and walking out!
