We showed up around 9:45am-10am. The place was not too busy, two families were already eating, and two other tables were not. Ordered a few minutes after sitting down, between us we ordered 4 eggs, 4 pancakes, bacon, and hasbrowns. Did not receive food until about 10:50am. In this time we saw one person walk out, we figure maybe from waiting. Other people's food did eventually come out but it still should not take almost an hour to make eggs, bacon, and pancakes. The scrambled eggs were somehow watery, but the bacon and pancakes were good. The hashbrowns were sour. We also noticed that an older gentleman had left after receiving his order, he hardly ate any of it and left a 1 dollar tip on the table. Our waitress was also serving this guy's table and was visibly displeased by this. She proceeded to make faces and mouthed comments to her co-worker about it, more or less bad mouthing the customer even though he had just waited 45 min for sub par food. When we were eventually brought our food they apologized and said it was because of the rush, but again the only people waiting 20min knto us arrive was the older gentleman and us. I read comments from 8months ago stating this was because they were relatively new and they were training but it has been 8 months and it seems to still be a problem. Maybe this was a bad day but just in case, I'd recommend getting breakfast elsewhere. Allegedly we received a long wait discount but still paid about 24 dollars in total, but decided to not leave tip after waitress was rude about the...

I was in town for work around lunch and love to try hole in the wall place as they're USUALLY the best. I will say the food wasn't horrible but I wouldn't call it Good either. I had a chili dog with slaw it was ok. Fries and the ONLY appetizer they offer (cheese bites). I don't recommend them. Then as I'm trying to eat a big lady who I found out was the owner came out and jumped all over the employees over meal tickets in front of all the customers!!! One employee said she was told not to do meal tickets for employee meals she asked by who and told the girl I sign your checks even went and pull the cook who was mentioned to the dinning area and again addressed this in front of customers. She spoke as I was leaving I let her know it might be best next time to take the conversation to the back. She asked why??!! I told her paying customers really don't want to hear her being so rude to her employees and that's embarrassing and not very considerate to do in front of customers. She got rude with me saying I wasn't being rude!! I wouldn't recommend you waste your money and I'm surprised she can keep help.!! Save your time and money go to a place where the food is Good, you can eat in peace and the owner isn't showing her GOOD Side in front of customers. A owner who argues with you saying she wasn't Rude SAYS ALOT!! I feel so sorry for the employees and I would Find Somebody Else to...

When we got there there was absolutely no one sitting at the tables. I was severely confused because every time I had come in (breakfast time) it was pretty busy. After some chatting with our waitress she had advised us they do not have much business during the evenings. I decided to get the catfish with mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, and the hush puppies (included with the platter). My boyfriend got the salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, and baked beans. When I tell you it’s never even crossed my mind to make a review (for anywhere) but my heart is pulling at my strings just to get some word out there. Our waitress was so beyond kind and compassionate. She was always checking on us, and attending to our needs for the table. If I could give her 10 stars, I would! as far as the price goes, everything was extremely affordable and honestly, I feel like it was a blast from the past. I feel like everything was priced super fairly and is very budget friendly.Best quality of service I have received in a very long time. As far as the food, all of it was absolutely delicious! The catfish is such a highly recommended staple!!! As far as Morehead goes, I can say with great certainty that this establishment is what it means to have southern cooking and hospitality. I hope someone reads this and decides to...

I took my wife and 7 year old grandson here "TWICE" today - Our 1st & LAST! Arrived @ 12:45 pm and there was only 3 other tables occupied. Just after 1pm our drinks were ordered. About 1:10pm our grandson ordered a plain burger with nothing but pickles, and mozzarella cheesesticks, marinara, cheese sticks, and ranch dressing. My wife ordered a turkey club sandwich on toast, and onion rings. I ordered the "special of the day" - Catfish, coleslaw, and fries... but they were out of both coleslaw and fries so I chose baked beans and onion rings. 10 minutes later, (now only 2 other tables were occupied) the waitress informed me they were out of catfish, that I'd need to order something else. I said "I'm done". 30 minutes later, the burger came fully dressed - not plain with only pickles! And the turkey club was on a sub-roll - not on toast! Still, only 3 tables occupied. Total time of over 1 hour, we left the food there, I paid and left - never to return. P.S.: I gave the food a 3, only because we have no idea if it was good, because we didn't eat it... JUST DON'T!! đŸ˜”â€đŸ’«

Okay... I've been here 4 or 5 times, dragging friends with me after the first just to spread the word lol. I haven't brought myself to order anything other than their burger because ITS SO GOOD. I literally just got a burger and fries to-go from Huddle House for about $7, which was about the same as a normal burger from McDonald's, and was so disappointed that I drove it right down the road to Country Diner to show a manager and thank them personally for their superior food. Come to find out Huddle House themselves tried to throw them under the bus to the Health Department, this is a PSA right now. Their burgers are PHENOMENAL, their patties are hand pattied, and so thick and juicy. It's delicious everyone, highly recommended if you like a good burger. The double cheeseburger and fries combo is under $9 without tip and hands down the best deal on a great burger. Best in town, go get it. <3

The food was delicious ok. I had soup beans and cornbread, if you eat soup beans and cornbread you can relate that giving someone a giant bowl of soup beans and a piece of corn bread smaller than the palm of your hand just Ain’t right. You will have to ask for more cornbread at this restaurant. The service was amazing, my drinks were kept full and my bill was taken care of quickly. This is not the first time I have eaten here. Some days the food is better than others. If you are looking for basic home cooking the food is OK. They offer a lot of breakfast items, some lunch meals and have a daily special. We booked the party room and was bumped last minute for a birthday party. So be carful if you book the party room. There is not a lot of good parking for this place either. 2025- new name and ownership
