Otter Creek Tavern — Restaurant in Kentucky

The food is always good ( most times) when you get your complete order. For about 8 months there seems to always be something missing. It would be better if we were allowed to order food anytime they're open but for over a year they have just taken the phone off the hook preventing us from ordering at lunch and most weekends dinner too. It really is a shame because the food and people are good when you can actually place a order and they actually give you the complete order. I am over it after again today the phone was taken off the hook. Went there to order and was told another 20ish minutes to even take a order while the phone was laying off the hook. Small town business that used to be amazing, now it's hit or miss each time what you get if you can get through to even order. In June the gave us a blt made from deep fried bacon bits and it was a nasty mess that fell apart. The 1 time we actually said something we were told they had no bacon so that's what you get... How is nasty bacon bits a blt. We kept trying but today was it for...

For the ones that feel a need to trash this establishment for the cigarette smoke they have a driver through. If you choose to take time out of your day to trash this place based on you walking in and being overwhelmed by the smoke, I hope you'll be smart enough to use the drive through because the food is the absolute best as far as I'm concerned, in the entire state of Kentucky. Of course it all depends on the type of fare you are looking for but bar wise, it can't be beat. No, I do not work for this establishment , i do not have friends that work here either, nor am I from this great state. I am military and have been for almost 20 years. I've been all over the world and while here in Kentucky I have chosen Otter Creek Tavern as a place not only to feed myself quite often but also my children. Used to enjoy dinner and a couple of beers with good friends at Otter Creek Tavern. It’s been a few years since I’ve been here. There must have been a change in ownership or management. The food has obviously been changed and is considerably lower quality. The service has also gone downhill. The waitress was nice and polite but couldn’t remember anything. Brought the wrong beer to a couple of us. We had a dozen people in our party. Three people didn’t get their food until after everyone else had finished eating. Empty bottles and empty cups filled the table and nothing was cleared from the table when we were finished eating. Almost everyone in our party has been here before and many have frequented Otter Creek over the years and agreed that the new ownership has lowered the standards. ...
