Let's start with the positives. *Beer was cold and prompt, the selection was great.
Now onto the negatives, we had a party of 8. We ordered 2x fried pickles, cheese curds, steak and fries, fish and chips, a Turkey club, and a chicken sandwich. The fish and chips where good, nice and crisp and the fries where good. The Turkey club was on the small side for the price, but the ingredients where fresh and good. The chicken sandwich had barely any chicken on them at all. The chicken breasts where about the size of a silver dollar, more like a chicken slider. The steak was ordered medium well, it came as charred brick, I kid you not. The fried pickles where good as was the sauce. The service was horrid, the beer was prompt but the server after dropping off the beer never showed up again till after the food arrived, no big deal right? One of our beers had a fly swimming in it, when we asked to get another we got a blank stare and a eye roll, but she eventually brought one. I personally asked for malt vinager for my fries, the waitress said we don't carry that. Seriously a pub doesn't have malt vinager? I asked another waiter and he promptly delivered it.
All in all, I think we just had a bad waitress and the eye roll server didn't help, the other staff seemed friendly enough though, just a few bad apples or whatnot. The beer was good, just don't go for the...

My husband, my service dog (Harvey), and myself were just staying at Ft. Knox for a few days to go to a class. After literally helping them close down the PX we were looking for somewhere to eat. I called the front desk of the Holiday Inn Express that we were staying at to ask where we could eat on post. That's when she said the only thing that's left open is the Samuel Adams Brewery. We were on speaker phone so as soon as my husband heard that he was so excited because guess what? That just so happens to be his favorite beer!!! No joke. So she explained to us how to get there and the rest was history. They only had littetly like 2 choices for appetizers and 3 choices for your main dish, but that was great because they had exactly what I was wanting. We had chips and Queso (to spicy for me, but I'm a wennie when it comes to spicy), and a turkey and ham club sandwich which was huge. I shared mine with my dog, Harvey. Overall it was a great time with really nice people and even tons of other people still hanging out at the bar area. I would definitely recommend this place! Thanks for a...
Read moreThis place just reopened for dinner after the holiday season. That may have been the reason why people were turning back tap beer in droves. Every beer that we ordered was skunky. They should have let the lines clear out before serving from their taps. A gastropub that carries the name of Sam Adams should at least be good at beer. That said, after switching to mixed drinks, the bar was exceptional. This venue is unique and awesome for being on a military post. Large and spacious it also has an outside venue as well as a pool table and game area. You would think with all of that going for it you would get served food with proper plates and utensils rather than on cardboard and plastic platters and using plastic utensils. It just adds an air of a low class establishment. The menu here is very small, almost as though this venue has never come out of its covid nightmare. A burger a salad or a sandwich pretty much sums up everything you can get here. Between everybody at our table we tried it all and the unanimous feeling was the food was just meh. Overall I don't think any of us would be fighting to...
