This was my first time going, and I will go back, but I wasn't super impressed. I ordered the Turkey Hotshot, with green beans and a bowl of vegetable soup, and my Father ordered the 3 piece chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and a side salad. The side salad looked nice, it was more than just lettuce and dressing. It had dice tomatoes, cucumber and cheese. The dressing was pre-drizzled on a small amount, and included extra on the side. My vegetable soup on the other hand looked good, but had zero flavour. Very bland is putting it mildly, and I had to add a lot of salt to bring out some sort of flavour. But for 2.50 a bowl, I can't really complain. The turkey hotshot was pretty much what I expected. Sliced deli meat on white bread with mashed potatoes and a plateful of turkey gravy. This tasted fine. Typical diner hotshot, with lots of meat, atleast. The green beans are not seasoned, but don't taste canned. What I sampled of the fried chicken dinner was that it was horribly dry, and not fresh. Since the diner sits inside a grocery store, Dots, which sells broasted chicken in it's deli department, I fear when this was ordered it was just retrieved from there, and who knows how long it had been sitting under the hot lamp. I'm sure their chicken is delicious when fresh, but the plate we got was definitely old and reheated. The mashed potatoes were also oddly topped with brown gravy and not poultry gravy like my hotshot was. Just seemed like an odd kitchen call. Anywho, the diner was pretty much what I was expecting going on. Not horrible, not great, and worth the prices paid. 2 dinners, 2 drinks, plus an extra side of soup for 20 bucks is hard to find in many dining establishments anymore. I expect that things are under-seasoned because it caters to a more older crowd who aren't into a whole of complex flavours. I will return to try other items, especially their breakfast menu (which is served all day). Not many places serve fried mush anymore, so I look forward to trying that. And my father who was debating between the chicken and liver and onions will probably get that next time.

A true hidden gem, tucked away in the back of Dot's Market in Belmont. Dot's meats are used throughout the menu, which only adds greatness. Prices are very affordable and fair. Everything is delicious; breakfast, lunch or dinner!! Service is always wonderful♡♡♡ *Disclaimer: I always forget to snap a picture of the food....because I dig in as soon as it's served. Sorry, but this action now encourages you to try it for yourself!! :)

Had lunch with my daughter and enjoyed one of their fabulous burgers. Great diner I've been going to over 25 years. Country fried steak is also delicious. Don't go if you're in a hurry but everything is worth the wait. There's only 1 server so be patient. And in this day and age $17 not including tip is AMAZING!!! If you're lucky you'll have Brenda or Kellie as your server but they are all pros! Highly recommend!

Not really sure how to rate this. I will tell you my experience and we can go from there. Today my family went into the bullpen to eat lunch. We were very happy to be there because the food is amazing. And the service is pretty friendly for the most part. But today was a bit different. Not from the restaurant so much as of the market itself. One of my daughters has a service dog. And the dog was with her. Now mind you the dog did not have its vest at the time because it is in process of being shipped. Now she does have all the proper paperwork to show the dog is a service dog. The manager from the store approached us telling us that a man with a breathing disability was having some trouble with our dog being in the restaurant and he was asking us to leave. But what got me is the manger telling us that this guy with the breathing issue has guns. Now what would be the purpose of telling us that? I know to put fear into us. My daughter had the legal right to be there with her service dog . So she could be out in a public place and finally enjoy her life without fear in the out doors. With the protection of her service dog. Now we live in a world where people have medical issues that require service animals. And as people know they are all over . Not saying nothing bad about people with Allergic reactions to animals or breathing iissues but they too should prepare to come into contact with a service dog one time or another. Because they are legally allowed to be everywhere the disabled person is allowed to be. I just feel like my daughter was being Discriminated by a threat! And it was not fare to her in anyway. I don’t understand why he said the guy had guns??maybe you all can explain the purpose behind that?? . We did not leave. Things calmed down and we ate a delicious meal. But I still don’t understand this whole situation. Can...

(This restaurant should NOT participate in doordash or other delivery services) first I'll say the food is great. That's the only complement I can give. Attempted to order biscuits and gravy. Driver gets there and is told due to high dining room business and only having one cook, one server and one other person who likes to hang up on people... my order of biscuits and gravy will be an additional 40 minutes! This place is obviously severely under staffed and under trained for the business their dining room can produce. Unless they make some smart hires and retrain current staff, adding sales via delivery services will hurt their overall reputation. Also, I would suggest to the management working in the grocery store to go back and help your kitchen when they're drowning. I've been a restaurant manager for years and will help you out...
