Rudest waitstaff I’ve ever met in my life. Waiting for service is never an issue, especially when busy , completely understand, however when the waitress came to the table , giving an attitude for why she decided to serve our table and not being humble or apologetic what so ever is unacceptable. Then going ahead and telling us to go to the bar to order drinks, this is definitely a member of the waitstaff that doesn’t put customers first. Promptly after returning to our table with drinks we ordered from the bar, the waitress returned with an attitude again saying “are you just going to order food at the bar” with which I responded , “no, we’d like to enjoy them here at the table where we’ve been sitting, you missed out on these drinks cause you were treating us like a pice of crap” to which she responded “are you calling me a piece of crap” twice in a row then stormed off apparently to her manager whom then did not come to the table nor even ask about the encounter, just nothing. After sitting for another 30 min with no interaction at-all from the staff we had to try to move to the bar which we were told was closed by the bar tender. Then we decided that this experience was so unprofessional we didn’t want to even stay in their hotel anymore either , mind you it’s 6:00pm not late at-all we had just checked in 2 hrs prior. We explained the situation to the hotel front desk attendant which called the manager of the restaurant which then lol brought the police with them to the front desk, cause apparently they have cops just hanging out in full uniform regularly, what an establishment . Absolutely unreal. At no time did we raise our voice , call anybody anything profane. We at this time just wanted a refund to stay somewhere else after the terrible experience in customer service and complete lack of accountability that just occurred. At no time were we apologized to , we were treated like the “bad guys” during the entire experience. If your planning on staying at this hotel or even having a drink at the tiki bar, think again. You might encounter this extremely rude waitress and Andrea the manager that definitely doesn’t put customers first in any respect, not even giving the time of day to listen to what happened. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. There are so many better places to stay or eat!...

The waitress Evelina ( this may not be her name but it started with an "E") was pleasant and very helpful. She made suggestions and helped us with food and drinks. The appetizers were good Lobster Bisque was hearty and the consistency of the broth was perfect, it could have used more lobster but that's personal preference. Fried calamari was perfect. Not everyone knows how to make calamari, so we were happy with it. The gilberts punch was strong and hit the spot, the piñata colada was thick and creamy for some that may be a no, no, but we enjoyed it.
My wife ordered a shrimp basket, i ordered the fishing tacos. My fishing tacos came out, but we waited over 25 mi uses for 1 shirmp basket. I want to say they forget to make ot or the person delivering the food sent it to the wrong table.
I would have much rather they said sorry we forgot. Instead the gentleman said he already dropped it off. We waited an additional 10 minutes shrimp basket still not around. No manager made it to our table to apologize or offer some kind of comfort.
Evelina did her best to keep octopus of things but it was not easy cleaning tables, taking orders and trying to keep ontop of things.
Food was late which made it for a bad experience
Maybe weekend are...
Read moreGreat escape from the city within an 1 hour drive. It has the keys feel and it’s like being on vacation immediately. The food is fresh, mostly deep fried seafood and bar food. When you are from Spain you are not used to see all the seafood showing up in the looking the same and all on one plate but once you got used to the batter & deep fried culture you actually enjoy it. We had the lobster bites ( battered and deep fried of course) and the seafood platter with onion rings ( battered and deep fried). There was something on the platter that would normally identify itself as a bread croqueta that flew by some seafood ( I think it was meant to be a conch fritters).Don’t get me wrong, everything was delicious ( I love bread) and there were plenty of sauces to dip the yummy fried goods. The atmosphere was relaxed and the crowd was an interesting mix of bikers and boaters. Our waiter was extremely attractive and super sweet. He made us feel welcomed and well taken care of. Like many places in Miami they add the 20% gratuity to the check automatically, so if you are not used to that just be on the lookout so you don’t double tip after all these frozen drinks your vision might get blurry. All in all. The place is great if you are looking for a typical keys experience on the water with...
