This place gets two stars. Why? Bc it is 9:30 on a Friday night and they are closing. They are open until 11 on both their store and internet hours, but I was informed they will be closing at 10. This isn't a one time thing. I work a lot and often show up an hour plus change (5-15 minutes) before close. The staff ( all except the nice guy that carries you chips) are all very cold. I was told at 8:50 something that the kitchen is closing. I asked if I could still get food and was grudgingly allowed. If ypu don't want to be there why advertise the hours? I come here often. I tip well even though my drink sits empty most of the time bc my family used to come here when I was younger and my mom is friends with the owners wife or something. I don't think they associate me with them anymore. The food is good, delicious at times but the service and overall condition if the building and premises is deplorable. I would love to continue eating at El Jinete, but when I don't know if they will even be open. If the are open I don't know if I would even be welcome. Oh, and once again shout out to the chip and dip guy ( if you go you'll see him). Next time I'm giving...
Read moreWhen we arrived, we were sat at a booth that had full chips, crumbs, and napkins under the table as well as off to the side in front of the table. There is no reason a table cannot be cleaned, at least the main trash around and under it. There were other visibly clean tables nearby, so I am not sure why we got sat at such a dirty one with no regard to how messy it was. Our food arrived very quickly and tasted really good... until I ate a fork full of my chimichanga and pulled a long, black strand of hair from the semi-chewed up food in my mouth. I do not have long, black hair. Prices are great for the amount of food we received. Cleanliness is the main issue we encountered, both at the table and in handling the food in the kitchen (as the hair was literally cooked into the inside portion of...

We were in the middle of some boring topic (I can't remember, and I probably wasn't paying that close attention anyway) when all of a sudden, a MOUSE runs across the floor. Now, I'm not talking like a Mickey Mouse or a Redwall mouse, I'm talking a real-life, flea-ridden, disease-laden country mouse. So the server comes in to take our drink orders, and our team leader says, "Uh, there's a mouse under that booth!" He glances over, says, "Okay" and proceeds to take our drink orders! It was so funny to watch everyone's faces for the rest of the meeting. Looking back on it now, you'd think I'd never go back, but I've been back many times since, and will definitely be back again soon. In spite of it all......
