EDIT:9.27.25 Executive Chef Michael himself contacted me to make things right with the host error. This is what I consider 'unreasonable hospitality' (read the book!) and am impressed with the level of his care. I changed my star to 5 from 4!
My favorite restaurant on the island! Absolutely gorgeous! I've gone 5-6 times now since moving down near the resort two months ago. I order the same thing each time: the green tomato martini, oysters, and brown butter crab rice. Absolutely phenomenal and high quality preparation and consistency. Service is great. I always take half of my rice home (it is pricey---yet worth it!) and tonight, I left it behind on accident, and realized it 10 minutes after I left. Austin and Finn made our night especially sparkly, recommending exactly the right selections for us and helping us feel perfectly at home. The pickled shrimp was my favorite dish, plus I enjoyed the best mocktails I’ve ever had (and equally delicious cocktails for my husband). We began our evening with drinks downstairs in the Willet Room and then proceeded upstairs to Linnette’s for dinner. The building is stunning, absolutely gorgeous. I am smitten with the birdcage decor, modern southern furnishings, handbound vintage-inspired menus and depression era glass bowl for my sorbet. This wasn’t just dinner, it was truly a...
