Lack of hospitality here. First of all, I would like to mention they did mention to us that they are super short staffed and the wait time would be 45 minutes. Okay reasonable. We waited an hour, not too bad since we had past the time by sitting and having two drinks each at the bar (amazing drinks there by the way! Recommend the bar because the drinks are made so well and the bartenders are nice). Back to the wait time, Personally I just think that if they know they are so short staffed then they should give realistic wait times like 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes, whatever the case may be. Because we would have decided if we wanted to eat somewhere else. Anyways, so we finally get seated, and we sat at our table for 35 minutes, watching a table from inside come in because it was raining and being tending to more often, and watching a table of 14 come in and being tended to too before us. One of the hosts who sat us even came to the large party and asked them “did your waiter come to your table yet?” WHATTT??! Oh and also, 3 different servers/waiters came inside and wondered around, literally, completely looking away from our table. Don’t get me wrong, I understand the restaurant business and different servers have different tables, but again, if there are no servers for our table, do not seat us! The host came back in and we had to call her loudly to come so we could tell her “we still haven’t gotten a waiter it’s been 35 minutes” and she said she was going to get one for us. To which my mom said that she saw through the window the host getting a server, pointing to that person towards our table and that server literally turned around in a form of expression saying they do not want to tend us. After that, that same server came to us 10 minutes later. 10 minutes. Now after sitting for 45 minutes, when the server came to the table we explained that it’s fine we will just be leaving thank you. Walking out, my family was speaking to the manager but I kept walking away because I could not believe the way we were treated there yesterday!! My family expressed that when speaking to the manager, she had NO sympathy for us. Explaining that our server came when we decided to leave….. what???! Haha she was laughable for that. Anyways, we went to Woodys Country House 5 minutes away, were seated within 5 minutes time (limited tables btw), and the food was so good!! Salmon salad, recommend. Chicken carbonara, recommend. The Burgers, recommend. The chicken burger was okay but still delicious. Will NOT be returning to Boulder View Tavern, literally go anywhere else. Wendy’s gave us better service earlier that day then...

We had a birthday dinner party last night at the restaurant. The waitress was combative and rude. First incident, one person has to send the dish the back as there was egg in her dish but not listed on the menu. She is allergic to the eggs so asked waitress to just removed the eggs. Waitress immediately with blaming tone saying well you didn’t tell me you have allergy?! So we told her the egg was not listed on the menu as we carefully checked. Then she rudely replied well it is on the menu without even checking the menu. We showed her it is not on the menu then she let it go.

Second incident, another server came over rush to put our burgers down but get all the orders mixed up, we kindly reminded her which burger us for whom. She looks at us raised her voice yelling you all are getting me confused! So we said let’s wait for our waitress to come back then. Our waitress came back and we realized the cheese burger we ordered without any cheese on it. Then the waitress questioned us: are you sure the cheese it is not under the bun or something, did you check? The person took the burger apart to show her and there is NO cheese in a cheese burger. Then another person sent his burger back because he ordered pink inside but looks well done. Then waitress took it then returned it saying chef looked at burger and confirmed it is pink inside. He didn’t want to argue, start eating the burger and it is well done inside. Then another lady in the party said to him she actually ordered well done. Turns out the orders are mixed up again but they already took a bite, so that is it.

Third incident, I ordered a cider as dessert. Everyone’s dessert came and start eating. 20mins later, everyone’s dessert is almost done but my cider still has not arrived. So I went to look for the waitress as I don’t want to drink a whole glass of cider alone when everyone is getting their check. When I asked her if she can get my cider, again she was rude and said well your cider is across the room so I have to walk all the way across the room to get for you now. Ok I understand is a bit further across the room, but all dessert made and served already and I can’t even get a simple drink before everyone finishes the dessert?

It is just there are so many things went wrong with our order last night, but waitress just don’t want to make it right and choose to argue and argue and insult everyone. We have a party of 8 so mandatory 20% tip was added to the bill. I understand waitress was expecting that tip no matter what. But it is insulting to have the whole group to be treated like this and have 20% added...

The most terrible restaurant exeperience we've had in a very long time! Got seated about 2pm on a Saturday, place had people there, but not crazy. Sat for a very long time. Nobody came to our table. Multiple waiters and waitresses passing by us over and over nobody coming, they definitely saw us. I worked in restaurants over many years and you do not let people sit there even if it's not your own table. After about 15 to 20 minutes, I got the attention of the hostess as she walked by. We told her nobody had come over to us yet. She then said that was her fault that she took a call and forgot to tell the waiter and she would get him. No offer to get drinks or anything! We wait MORE now not knowing who is our waiter. He finally comes over and asks for drink order. My husband asks what is on draft ( not shown on menu) and the waiter says it's written on the board over there, which is behind us and hard to see. On the board is three drinks written small, my husband just says he'll have the beer I got because he cant see it. We get our beers and they taste horrible, surprisingly because we usually love evil genius beers. Look at the bottom of the can...10 months old. At this point it's like a bad joke. Also, waiter never coming back around to refill drinks sitting there for long periods of time with no drinks. Food was pretty blah. My husband got the crab ravioli, and it was four pieces of ravioli and he said there wasn't even any crab in it. I got the Sweet thai chili cauliflower bites and a seemed like some kind of barbecue sauce out of a bottle. Kids meals were Kraft macaroni and cheese out of a box. We were very glad when it was time to leave. Walk right by the hostess and she basically ignores us...nothing like have a good night...

Our recent visit to Boulder View Tavern left a lot to be desired -- especially when it came to service. We had a large party and were reasonably patient, but didn’t receive drinks for at least 20 minutes as the bartender and waitress stood there talking to each other. Right from the start, things were off. Three people in our party ordered the *exact same drink*, yet somehow all received different ones. When we brought it to the staff's attention, we were told they couldn't take the incorrect drinks off the bill but could offer replacements. Not only is that a frustrating policy, but to make matters worse, we were still charged for the original, incorrect drinks AND I was charged for the new drink that I asked to replace the other drink. Seems strange, but I guess in a tourist trap restaurant that you get by somehow. The service overall was consistently poor. Our waitress was barely present, and it felt like we were constantly searching for someone -- anyone -- to help us. Even trying to track down a manager was an ordeal. As for the food, it was below average and definitely not worth the price point. The menu reads like you're in for a decent meal, but what shows up is uninspired at best. You get very measly portions for the price you pay. The only positive was that the live music was quite lively and view was great. Definitely wasn’t worth spending $24 for two crappy drinks. We were hoping for a nice night out, but between the drink debacle, inattentive service, and subpar food, we left disappointed. There are too many great places around to spend your money -- unfortunately, Boulder View Tavern just isn't one of them.

We were in town for a friend’s 40th birthday party and decided to try this place because the atmosphere looked amazing and they had live music. Unfortunately the live music was inside and not outside. We went outside anyway and the bartenders were very rude! They made it seem like we were inconveniencing them. We understand they were understaffed, but that does not give you the right to be rude to your customers. A storm moved in so they had to move us inside and we were seated. We placed an order and waited about two hours for it to arrive. These weren’t meals, they were simple appetizers and drinks. If it wasn’t for our waitress Taylor we would have left. She was amazing, friendly and on top of it! The food was OK… The calamari was cooked perfect but no side sauce. My friend said her sandwich wasn’t good but a few of the guys had wings and said they were good. One of our friends ordered a drink that she ended up not liking and they wouldn’t let her swap it out with something else for the same price. I ordered a drink that never arrived. My husband had a great experience… He asked for wings, with a very hot sauce, which they don’t have on the menu, but the chef made a sauce to order and it was so amazing that my husband paid $20 to take some home. Whoever this chef is and whatever this sauce is, he needs to sell it on the side or add it to the menu! We would drive back, an hour from home, just for this sauce! All and all we had an ok time but I can’t give it four stars based on some negative experiences had by all.
