Little Mexico Grill — Restaurant in Killen

Little Mexico (#2 location Killen) is it great Mexican restaurant to eat at. It is similar to many of the other Mexican themed restaurants in the area as La hacienda, casa Mexicana, fiesta Mexicana etc. The taste of the food dishes however is exceptional and somewhat better than their competition.

There is however one complaint that I have and that is depending on which server you have you may take different prices for different things. In the beginning it's a lot of overcharging or mistaken orders but in time this has gotten better.

There's plenty of room for dining and also for parking. It would be better for handicapped patrons if Little Mexico had a paved parking lot section for handicapped parking. As it is the gravel parking area is not as easy to wheelchair on. The restaurant is handicapped accessible however and once you make it to the concrete porch you've got it made.

Little Mexico grill is my favorite Shoals Mexican restaurant compared to the other of its type. It is not Tex-Mex as you have with Rosie's cantina but rather more traditional Mexican flavor. But if you want Mexican dishes and more traditional Mexican dishes then little Mexico is a great choice.

I ordered take out. I live 5 minutes away. By the time I got it home, one was room temp and the other was just warm. I called and requested a remake and a refund on the other. I got back and the KID/employee felt of the bottoms and said they were still warm. I said that I just want a refund since he's going to argue with me about it and I want to talk to the manager. He said he was the manager. I said, no the other guy from other location that was there. He walked away and came back to say that guy was really busy with take out orders, it would be a while. I said I can wait. Not sure that he even told him at that point. Then after getting my refund, he went back and got him. I told him I'd been to the other location and it's great. This is the first time I've been there. It's not a good experience so far. The KID argued with me. That's not a good look. Not sure if we'll try this one again. Also, while I was there, a lady was sitting there waiting for her take out order. She'd been there a while. Someone called and apparently had a problem with their take out order. Best mexican restaurant in Florence!! The food comes out fast and hot. Everything has been delicious. Just be sure your order is taken correctly because their english isn't always the best. I usually never have an issue, but it has happened a time or two. I still eat there all the time because the orders were corrected and everything always taste so good. It's worth my short drive to killen rather than eating at other places in Florence that don't compare in taste. They don't get a ton of traffic when I've been, but I think that's due to location.
