I'm going to start this review off by sharing two things: I grew up in the restaurant business, and I love Mexican food. I came here once in April and enjoyed my experience for the most part. The service was really slow, seems like a family run operation and maybe not enough staff. The food was very good though and that is important to me. We went again this week and had a similar experience. It doesn't seem like the two FOH staff they had seem very experienced and we ended up waiting quite a long time for certain things except paying the bill haha. My friend got the quesabirria platter and I got tacos and a tamal. The tacos were nothing special but this place seriously has some good tamales, tried two different ones so far and both were very good. My friend said his birria was good but the consomé broth wasn't, I tried it and can confirm it was not good. This place is really close to becoming something special but they need competent wait staff, a bartender, host, manager, and probably some advertising to get people in the door because the food really...
Read moreCasa Rivera is a gem that delivers an unforgettable Mexican dining experience! The quesabirria tacos are a revelation—juicy, tender beef enveloped in crispy, cheese-crusted tortillas, served with a rich consomé for dipping that’s bursting with flavor. The tamales are perfection, steamed to a delicate texture with fillings like spicy pork or chicken that melt in your mouth, wrapped in soft masa. The mole chicken is a standout, with its complex, velvety sauce blending sweet, smoky, and savory notes, elevating the tender chicken to new heights. The drink menu shines just as bright—refreshing horchata, tart hibiscus agua fresca, and expertly crafted margaritas with just the right kick. The atmosphere and warm, attentive service make every visit feel like a celebration. Casa Rivera is a must-visit for authentic, soulful...
Read moreWe went there last night, I ordered a burrito and my wife ordered the birria tacos. My burrito came out lukewarm and the cheese wasn’t even melted, the steak in the burrito was overcooked and barely any other ingredients. Doesn’t come with any sides and no sauce on it.
I tried my wife’s birria and wow it tasted old and like it was sitting back there and they just heated it up. Not crunchy and fell apart when I picked it up. When I got home i didn’t feel good and it ended up coming out of both ends needless to say.
I normally don’t write reviews, but I for one would want to hear about a bad experience before trying a new place. They are very nice people, but you go to places for the food and I for one...
