If you want to go to a bar, and you think of that classic bar in the movie scene, where it's A good old smokey bar that's got a good loud band that you'll bang your head to and get drunk and try to play pool and then get mad at the person when they beat you, this is a spot. If you want upscale and if you don't mind paying $7 for a beer and you want to be able to wear khaki pants and a sport coat and meet the wealthiest people in the world while drinking your $10 Coors light, there's tons of places just head to Birmingham. But if you want real people that have real problems and real situations but they throw those problems out the door when they walk in here and they'll give the shirt off their back for you and they'll protect you and they'll be your family and you'll hear a great band who's not trying to be signed and being next Morgan wallen but rather who's playing because they enjoy music and love music and love what they do and you'll meet the greatest people in the world, they might not be the financially wealthiest people in the world, but they are when it comes to heart, though the wealthiest folks in the world, you want to hold smokey bar with good old boys and great band, very loud music, it's hot and it's a good damn Friday night, then this is your spot.

If the owner is the one that's reading this and going to reply then I would like to say something to the owner... Now I've never met the person that I'm telling you about but I can tell you that they took a situation that wasn't even theirs, nor was it their problem nor their situation nor did they have anything to do with anything about the situation but yet they fixed the situation, so if you're the owner and you're reading this I want to give a shout out to one particular person...... Her name is Lily Pierson... You can let me know if she got upset because I wrote her name on here but I did need to identify her specifically to you because I called and I asked her if she knew if it would be okay if I came in and worked a couple of hours in order to earn some gas. I'm not going to look for a handout nor would I have asked for one and I'd already been to a couple of the police departments and went by churches even though it's 9:00 on a Tuesday. So I called here this was one of the 45 places that I called and I just asked a, do you have any extra work that I can do just for right now just so that I can earn enough gas to go where I was going and she said there's not any extra work and I don't know if you haven't enough gas to get here and she used other means in order to get me the finances in order for me to put gas in my vehicle and I just put all of it in gas and before I cranked up to leave here, she needed a shout out so if you're the owner, you tell her this straggler is very thankful. The only other option would have been to get towed which if I didn't have gas I certainly couldn't have gotten my vehicle out of a tow company.

If you're a customer reading this or potential customer reading this, what I was bringing up earlier about the $10 for a beer and a sport coat place, I can assure you they wouldn't have done what this lady did. That's the difference in where you go to bars. You can either go to a chain pay a lot of money and look the part or you can go to a real bar with real people with real situations real care and real compassion and you can meet a lady like this and that's the difference. Use local and if you're traveling by, if you come through on a Friday, this place it's going to be lit like a candlestick

Went on a busy Saturday night. They had a great band playing that was well worth $7 cover. Space is great and prices are fair. That said, I've never waited more than three minutes for a drink order. Waiting for more than eight minutes for two green tea shots is totally unacceptable. For one, don't pour the ingredients in glasses individually and then proceed to shake them with ice. Instead pour the amount of liquor and ingredients you need for the order into a shaker with ice and then pour them into the glass, saving yourself 30+ seconds. Don't use a shaker that wasn't rinsed out from the last mix that has the same ice from a totally different beverage. You ruin the taste and if the customer is watching, it looks bad. Don't tell a customer that they cannot have a certain shooter or drink because you are to overwhelmed to make it. A long island is not a difficult drink to make.I know that bar staff is doing the best they can but, their best is mediocre and it isn't even their fault. The way the bar is set up makes it totally impossible for the bartenders to move in a fluid motion during a rush. The registers being in the front and busiest part of the bar clogs up the entire work flow for the bartenders. They are obviously overwhelmed and annoyed and that's just not good for business. This place has been around for years, I know this. But just because the bar has been a success for years doesn't mean that learning new things or changing ways to make things easier isn't possible. You have great staff here, stop putting them under unnecessary stress. They can totally crush the rush without bumping into each other and become irritated. So the google page has the right address & phone number but the map pulls up a location in Louisville, KY. I'm reviewing the one in Alabama. Went last weekend. There was a $5 cover to get in, not sure why since it was karaoke night. I have to pay to hear people embarrass themselves on stage?? Got a drink at the bar when you first walk in to the left; it was delicous. Went to the room with the pool tables and ordered another of the same drink and had to pour it out because it was so sour. Stayed for less than thirty minutes. Waste of time and money. And there were cops inside "casually" walking around. The "people" stare you down, roll their eyes at you and give you go to hell looks if they dont know you. And to the mid-forties woman wearing the black and gray tie-dyed dress with a leather vest and black high heels: you looked absolutely ridiculous.
