The Draft House Lakeside Bar & Grille — Restaurant in Kingston

Drove out of our way to visit this place for a late dinner because it said open until 10pm. Walked in at 8:53 and the place was empty. Chairs already on top of tables and someone was mopping the floor. The woman at the bar says, yes they close early if nobody is here and the restaurant closes at 9pm. Making me feel like they are not too thrilled to see us. We do have 7 mins I guess if you want to order something. I felt like we were gonna be in their way, they were ready to head home and close up early and then we walked in. After the third time of being told the kitchen closes at 9pm but the bar stays open until 10pm if there are people still here, I felt very unwanted and unwelcome, so we chose to walk out. Just sad that we were not welcomed with a smile and thanked for coming out of our way to visit them. I told the woman that we had driven down from Maine and she said from Maine??? Like I was crazy not like wow, they drove a long way to be here maybe we can oblige. If they wanted our business the attention and attitude would have been glad to see us please have a seat what would you like, we still have some time before the kitchen closes and we will make it work for ya. That’s not what we got… I was not going to stay stay there after being made to feel bad that the kitchen was about to close and they were gonna close early because nobody was there… and then we walked in… well, hopefully they got to go home early and they lost...

Three adult women and we ordered 1 radio burger, 1 bacon burger and 1 classic cheese burger. Also had a side of onion rings and 1 glass of water and two cokes. How did this order total amount come to $98??? I don’t understand how you came up with this total. I am not opposed to paying fair amount but this seems excessive. We were there between 5 and 6 o’clock. Did not have fried pickles or any other appetizers. The server we had was the only person we saw, was the only one working the area we were in. She did the best she could do being she was alone. She was very helpful and personable. No complaints on the service. When I left I put $100.00 cash (5x 20$ bills) in the folder which was enough to also cover the tip. My daughter informed me that I also left a &10.00 bill added to the 5 $20.00 dollar bills which would have given her an even better tip. I would like for the money you were willing to refund me , to be given to the server This was my first time at the restaurant and will give it some thought before...

I believe this feedback is completely warranted and hope that it's taken under advisement. The food was good but in all honesty, I don't think I'll go back. The staff was beyond unattentive. We had to get up from our table five separate times. We had a drink spill at one point and she never came over to help us clean it up we had to ask for multiple boxes we had to ask for our check twice we had to get up and ask for another round of drinks and it wasn't even busy. She was an older woman and seemed pretty friendly but was definitely giving us some attitude. I don't really see any reason why we were ignored we were a party of 7. There were flies buzzing around our table the entire time to the point where we had to cover our meals with napkins before we could get our food into boxes that we had to wait for. No one said hello or goodbye and the experience was really disappointing. If your wait staff can't handle several tables at once consider hiring someone who can or additional...
