After a long bike ride along the D&R canal towpath in Frenchtown, NJ, we decided to grab a bite to eat and found a restaurant just a 7 minute drive from the trail. The food was delicious—my meal included mozzarella sticks and a meat lovers personal pizza. The mozzarella sticks were supersized, which was a pleasant surprise and definitely a highlight. The restaurant had a small but ample eating area, creating a cozy atmosphere. The service was good overall, and our waitress was both friendly and attentive, which I appreciated. However, I did feel a bit rushed at times during our meal, which surprised me since the place wasn’t particularly busy. I think a slightly more relaxed pace would have made the experience even better. Thank you for the delicious food and welcoming service. Overall, it was a great experience and I look forward to visiting again. If you have any recommendations for other menu items, I’d be happy to hear them. Best regards, Franco

I went here on New Year's Eve and these folks were so accommodating. The service was excellent and the staff friendly. The atmosphere was tasteful and classy. The entire place was well decorated for the holidays. Cafe Maria has a very nice dining room and the restroom was clean and modern. The food all looked amazing. I want to go back and try some entrees. As it was close to closing time, and I had another gig to attend nearby, I grabbed my Jersey standard of 1 mushroom and 1 pepperoni slice and a Coke! Awesome NJ pizza! I definitely reccomend Cafe Maria Ristorante dinner or for slices!

The business is one you have to watch for right near the corner store. I found the staff attentive and friendly. There’s ample parking in this busy Italian n pizza restaurant. Lots of outdoor seating to enjoy nice weather and your food choices. They offered some nice looking desserts and parfaits! I had a Sicilian slice which could have been a bit bigger .. what they sold seemed to be popular with the locals several came out with 3-4 pies ! A wide array of food choices were offered ..Why not go and try it!

Rarely do I write reviews but this occasion was special. I ordered penne vodka, and chicken marsala with a side of garlic bread earlier today for pick up. I started with the garlic bread and it was delicious. Super garlicy which is what I like.

However the pastas were terrible. Legitimately I considered calling and complaining which I never do. I don't want my money back (which was about $32 for two pastas and garlic bread), I just want to let them know how bad my meal was. There are about 6 restaurants in a 10 mile radius of me serving Italian cuisine and I will never be going with Café Maria's again which is a shame.

I truly believe they did not use seasoning when making their sauces. Completely devoid of any flavor. I was so disappointed. We've gotten the penne vodka in the past and it was tasty, but our last two visits have failed to live up to that first one. It is just hard to believe that they made the garlic bread so tasty but could not impart any flavors into the sauces. After trying the penne I thought it was just not their strong suit, but to have the mushroom sauce of the marsala to be plain as well? This is a pattern that they should rectify. Season and taste as you cook. I have no doubts anyone that tried what I was served...

Me and my EMT partner stopped by for lunch. My partner recommended this place and for good reason. The atmosphere inside is warm and welcoming, the dining area is super comfortable with beautiful art work around the walls. Matty was our waitress and she delivered very good and amazing service throughout our meal. Last and most importantly; the food. Everything tasted fresh, I ordered the apple salad and I must say it’s one of the best salad I’ve ever had. The bread and oil was a nice touch and everyone including the Chefs had smiles. I work at Formula 1 as a VIP Chef where food and service is top priority but this place made me feel like I was at home ❤️ I don’t live close by but I will definitely be coming here many times in the near future. Thank...
