I’ve been here several times. The food is always fresh and delicious. If you’re not with a large party I highly recommend coming here otherwise skip it.The service is always good and friendly. With that being said, my bf’s company has had two Christmas parties here over the past several years. We are always a party of at least 10 people. I don’t recommend big parties here, we found out the hard way they will kick you out after exactly 2 hrs whether you’re finished or not. The first time we were all here I got up to use the bathroom. I came back a few minutes later and my dinner was taken away, the table cleaned along with my new drink I just got. I was in total shock and asked my bf where’s my food and my new drink. He said they took everything away our 2 hrs was up. I chalked it up and went to the bar where everyone was standing and got another drink. This time, again it was another Christmas party. After dinner my bf’s boss asked for a dessert menu, and he was told by our server sorry your two hours are up you can’t have dessert. Everyone looked dumbfounded and abruptly got up and left and we all went somewhere else to have drinks and dessert. I know this place isn’t real big but if they would book the parties differently say like 5-8, and then the next party 8-11 or reserve some of the other tables to accommodate both parties everyone would not feel rushed. It took over 1/2 hour for our appetizers to arrive, and then another 40 mins for our food. It’s really not a lot of time for a large group. The other thing that bothered me was when we were walking out there was another group waiting and the woman pulled my friend and I over and said “oh you’re the group just leaving?” and we said yes. She said,”well they just sent me a text,” and she showed us the text. It read, we just kicked out the other group. Needless to say we were all shocked. This is no way to do business. I was told the Christmas Parties will be at a different restaurant from now on. Aside from that our food was delicious, and our servers were very nice. I will come here again but the next time it won’t be with a group. Food- 4 Stars Service- 4 Stars Atmosphere- 3 Stars Group getting...
Read moreRecently moved to the area and heard a lot about Tavern 519. So on a Sunday I decided to give it a try. The outside eating wasn't open yet which I didn't wanna try but nonetheless I said at the bar had a drink and ordered a bar pie. Whitney the bartender was very pleasant and friendly , though it was early afternoon the place was half full . Local atmosphere vibe to the place and being new here I knew no one but the patrons seemed to know each other. While I didn't have any of their entrées or desserts I can't really speak for the food I can tell you that this former New Yorker wasn't very pleased with the pizza. But again and I'll due respect this isn’t an Italian restaurant and where they are known for their Italian pizza. Their pickle pie seemed a hit but it didn’t seem something for me. I did go back and tried the grill veggie sandwich which was flavorful and had ample fries with it. I was full. At some later date I think the Blue cheese burger was calling me or maybe I’ll try an entrée at a later point. Sure seems to have repeat customers who enjoy the food there. The price points were a bit high on some items about right on others .. I’d say if you want a friendly place to eat ,chat , have a drink ,n meet...
Read moreInconsiderate patrons couldn't be louder making conversation impossible. Wine is undrinkable but they appear to make up for it with beer and ale selections. WONDERFUL Caesar salad served ice cold with house made old fashioned true Caesar dressing, almost a meal in itself. Salmon could be best around and ice cream selection from an Easton creamery presents the two things fine ice cream requires: pure ingredients for the base and intense flavor. Their ice cream has it all. Servers are lovely but untrained. They walk out with blinders, making one trip to one table and back. None offer pepper, and if a gentleman at another table didn't tell his server I was calling and motioning, I'd be there yet. Very difficult to fault them, though, as they are so lovely. I'm hoping to rewrite this next time I go. P.S. Even though I sent my Chardonnay back, I was forced to query nicely upon receiving my check if house policy was to charge me for a glass of wine I sipped and returned. It was cheerfully taken off my bill, but not before making me feel uncomfortable asking. I hope to give them another try. The salmon was good and cooked...
