Toto Cafe — Restaurant in Knox

We used to love coming to Toto cafe for breakfast before church. Many of the old servers left over the last couple of years and our visits became less and less. Well today will be the last time we come here. We came in a little rushed because we decided last minute to go for breakfast before church. We were acknowledged quickly but then the server walked away for a couple of minutes to ask someone to clean off a table for us (even though there were empty tables everywhere). The girl supposed to be cleaning the table stops at the table behind to carry on a conversation with one of the customers. I made a comment to my husband that we were just going to have to leave because I am realizing we we’ll never get our food and eat in time. I told the lady because she looked at me funny that we were going to be late for church. She grabbed some menus and said cmon. She said what do you want to drink, the whole time having the biggest scowl ever. She brought our drinks and said what do you want I’ll get you out of here fast and if looks could kill…. As we were waiting she walked passed with the same scowl and dirty looks and was just rude, even to the person that came in for a to-go order. They got a few big scowls and a bark of you here for a to-go order. And on top of it the table they were going to clean for us was seated with others sometime later. They just so happened to get their food and was well into eating and we did not get ours and had to finally leave. So we will not be back but how about trying to give a smile once in a while. Definitely add this restaurant to your list.. We stopped here after shopping 🛍 for a quick bite to eat.. The menu offers salad 🥗 sandwiches 🥪 and dinners 🍽.. The restaurant was very clean and welcoming.. The server was kind and happy 😃.. Matter of fact, everybody was in good spirits.. So we ordered 3 different things to try out for lunch.. P said her chicken salad was well prepared. The salad 🥗 and tomato 🍅 were cold and fresh.. The chicken in the salad was delicious and not overcooked.. The Italian beef had melted cheese 🧀, green peppers, mushrooms 🍄, and onions 🌰 on it with a side of crispy curly fries .. It was a hot and delicious sandwich 🥪.. jThis is 1 of the Best Italian beef sandwiches I have tried 🎯 P said her chicken dinner was crispy and juicy with a side of curly fries.. They're very slow to seat you or acknowledge you. Would help if they at least had a bench inside and outside front door to wait. Lots of people with canes etc... cannot just stand there and wait including my mom. Personally, this is enough I won't ever suggest eating here. Suspect needs more handicapped parking also.

I think it would help to move the cash register to the outside of the counter so payers are on the west and those waiting to be seated can be noticed on the east. Cords can be hidden.

Cleanliness. Okay, could be better (around & under tables etc) but comparable to...
