Akita Hibachi Sushi — Restaurant in Knoxville

I'm sad to leave a low rating/review but I feel obligated to warn others who may be expecting a different experience. For what I paid (around 46.00) the food was really not worth it. The roll I had (shrimp tempura) was rolled so loosely and was cut unevenly. The ends were falling apart and were so huge, they were difficult to eat. The crab rangoon was mostly cream cheese, like another review mentioned. The shell was almost stale (not light or crispy) and very saturated with oil. There aren't any kids menu items so I had to pay full price for my 8 year old to eat about a quarter of the lo mein with chicken I ordered for her. My husband got the steak hibachi and he said it was okay. Again, I'm not trying to be ugly, I'm just so disappointed. I want people to know that while this spot may be just what some folks are looking for, for others who are accustomed to a little more quality they may want to go somewhere else like Nama, Kabuki, or Mikata. Let me start by saying I have been searching for a great sushi place in Knoxville for a year now. After trying MANY options, I’m SO happy to finally find the one! I placed a late night order through DoorDash. Realized I forgot to add a sauce so I called the restaurant and spoke to someone genuinely so nice and helpful. My food arrived really neatly/securely packaged and I was very grateful because it was obvious by the outside of the bag that it had been placed in a not-so-clean floorboard of the dasher’s car. I ordered two sushi rolls and crab rangoons. Everything was made correctly, tasted fresh, had generous portions of ingredients - it was everything and more that I craved and expected from sushi! We waited FIFTY MINUTES for one roll, one order of chicken and shrimp hibachi, and one order of chicken fried rice. The food was underwhelming especially after waiting that long for our order. The cashier said that we were waiting on the shrimp tempura roll but 50 minutes is unacceptable. By the time all of our food was ready, the other entrees were cold. We were order 102, and orders 103-113 were all served before we were. The hibachi meal was also missing the sweet carrots. I can get my money back, but not my time.
