Very, very disappointed in my most recent visit. I ordered a 20 oz margarita to go with my food. When I arrived to pick up my order, i paid, tipped, and was handed a suspiciously small cup. I asked if it was 20 oz and was told indeed, it was, they were just out of the larger looking cups. I really doubted it, but he assured me that this was a 20 oz drink. I then grabbed my food and went to the car. From my previous extensive restaurant industry, I knew that all Styrofoam cups print the capacity on the bottom, so I unwrapped the drink to find....16 oz. I went back in because at this point, I've been lied to and paid for something I did not receive. I told the gentleman, this is NOT 20 oz, this is 16, and he told me that I was wrong. He "proved" this by pouring my drink into their "20 oz" margarita glass. The drink fit with about an inch left to the top, and he was certain that this proved his point. however, this clearly just proves they are selling "20 oz" margaritas in the restaurant which are actually 16 oz. I told the guy again, this is 16 oz and I paid for a 20 oz, and he told me that the 16 oz Styrofoam cups, which literally print 16oz on the bottom, actually holds 20 oz and acted as if this is a well known fact. I'm sorry, if they held 20 oz, it would say 20 oz and NOT 16! needless to say, I and my family will never return to ernesto's. they falsely advertise, they have no qualms lying to their paying customers and they would not refund a portion of the money for receiving less than they promised, nor would they provide the additional 4oz I PAID FOR without paying for a whole new drink. Horrible service. two stars because...

Date night has never been so bland. My wife and I each started out wanting our own dishes but after being told that several basic things were out of stock, we went with fajitas. That's at least a somewhat safe choice... Right?

No. No it wasn't. The meat quality was questionable. Especially the chicken. There was an extremely odd texture. The beef had very little in the way of seasoning and there wasn't a single spec of salt to be found. We asked for no bell peppers as my wife hates the flavor. You won't guess what was all over the place.

The queso... Passable at best. I've had far better out of a chip aisle half pint bottle. Bland. Uninspired. Plastic. Boring. Did I mention boring?

Further, my first two choices for a beer to have with my meal were out of stock. They weren't uncommon choices. They comped me one of my third choice in an attempt to try to make up for the issues. Then charged me for it at the end.

Now, through what was obviously a pretty embarrassing situation where both the bar and kitchen were apparently conspiring to ruin this kid, our waiter held it together really well. Especially when we found out that it wasn't only his first night on the floor but his first night on the job. He is literally the only bright point of the night. I'm a bit sad I can't remember his name because he was a rockstar compared to every other thing we experienced.

I won't...

Tried this place out since a business associate had recommended it. Ordered the Fajita Parillada, shrimp, beef and chicken fajitas, when food arrived I was given chicken smothered in some green sauce. Politely told our waitress that this was not what I ordered and was given a look of oh well and wasn't even given the chance nor offer to returning it and them preparing what I had actually ordered. I try the sauce on my fork and nope, can't do it, I am not an avocado sauce guy. I politely tell the waitress I can't do it and again, I am met with an "oh well" type of brush off. As to not create a scene, I eat my rice, beans and tortillas and return the plate to waitress with the main part of the entrée, the chicken in avocado sauce, untouched beyond me dabbing my fork to try the sauce. Receive the bill and see that I am being charged full menu price for an entrée I didn't eat. Respectfully, I told the waitress that I was more than happy to pay for the rice, beans and tortillas but found it hard to believe they expected me to pay full price for the meal THEY basically forced upon me. As I can be very hot headed at times, I elected to pay the bill and left the tab on the table for my other dinner guests to fill out and promptly left this establishment. I will never enter this place again and I will be sure to inform anyone that asks about...

Ordered chili relleno with beef w cheese rice and beans. Anyone who eats rellenos knows that they are deep fried and either queso or ranchero sauce comes on top. I got queso like substance. The relleno was clearly microwaved as it was all soggy and the ground beef inside was NOT fresh but thawed and the runway of cheese was not melted. The rice tastes like uncle been microwave 2 minutes rice. The beans albeit prob canned tasted fine. WHEN AN EATERY MICROWAVES food instead of making it fresh Please Tell Your Customers. Our total meal with tip was $53 I could have done this myself at home for less. We’ve eaten at Ernesto’s in Prosper many times ordering fajitas. Had I know other items were not fresh I would have stuck with the fajitas. WARNING THE FOOD IS NOT AUTHENTIC NOR FRESH! Too bad, truly disappointed. And the queso WHAT is this thick fluff of goo you call cheese?

I placed an online order two weeks ago And they called me and said they couldn’t fulfill it but yet to give me a refund. When I called about this issue, they said they would get it taken care of but never did so. I called back and asked if I could just get it replaced and they said yes. So I ordered some food along with it. I ordered a taco salad & added in my request to put toppings on the side. When we got home and opened our food, there was no taco shell. No nothing but pulled chicken and lettuce. No taco shell. So i called & the lady said. You said put toppings on side. So i left the shell out??? Like please. Very pissed off to say the least. & i don’t even write google reviews. They said nothing to make this better.
