New World Bakery — Restaurant in Kyle

Been here a few times for either cookies, pastries or bread. They make a variety of breads, pastries, cookies, and even tortilla chips. The breads comes in half or full loaves and pastries and cookies are sold individually.

All of their baked goods are pretty good but my favorites so far have been their everything bagel and chocolate croissant.

The croissant was super tasty filled with some dark chocolate which paired nicely with the coat of powdered sugar on the croissant. The croissant itself soft and semi flaky, a perfect companion to my coffee.

The everything bagel was pretty large, covered with everything seasoning. I was able to barely fit it into the toaster. Unlike other bagels i've had, this one still kept most of its spices after being toasted. This toasted bagel was a nice vehicle for the thin layer of cream cheese I added to it. The bagel, I must say, was perfect.

I've had their sourdough bread and it's pretty good. They have so many varieties of bread that there's something for everyone. The one that keeps eluding me is their jalapeno cheese loaf. I need to start camping out there just so I'm able to get my...

ZERO stars if I could. I’ve been wanting to check out New World Bakery for a long time—but sadly, the experience today was a complete letdown.

There were only two of us in the place. A staff member walked out from the back, made eye contact with me… and still said nothing. Not even a hello. No smile. No acknowledgement whatsoever.

That kind of cold, dismissive energy—especially in a small business where hospitality should matter—is a huge red flag. I turned around and walked right out. If this is how you treat new faces, don’t expect them to come back.

I love this bakery. It's a wonderful hidden gem. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner today! It's a family owned and run business. The staff is always pleasant. The offerings run from bread to bakery items, coffee and sandwiches. All are top notch. The items are not made with many preservatives, which for someone who has food allergies, I really appreciate.
