Silver River Bakery — Restaurant in L'Anse Township

Stopped and got a blueberry turnover, a blueberry muffin, and a cinnamon roll. Not cheap, but tasty. Turnover was excellent. Muffin was small but packed with blueberries. Cinnamon roll couldn't hold a candle to the old Hilltop (haven't tried them, since the changeover), but was still quite decent.

Would definitely stop again.

Edit: I can't reply directly to the owner's reply, so I'm replying, here. Please don't think I was complaining about the cost. Good things are worth paying for, and the turnover definitely was worth it! So is knowing I'm supporting a small business. You can bet I'll be stopping in, again. Keep up the great work! :-)

P.S. My opinion on the cinnamon roll is just that: my opinion, my personal preference. I'm confident many people...

We were traveling through the UP and wanted to try pasties. There were only 2 places in town offering them and happily we chose Silver River. They were still baking, so had coffee and a pastry while we waited. Found a couple cute things in the gift store. Had lots of fun conversation with Brenda and the owner who is also the baker. I took a walk with my kids to get ice cream and a snack. The gentleman working and cooking made this stop a great experience for my kids and I.. He gave my two kids a free ice cream that made them Happy!!! The breakfast bagel I ordered was delicious. He definitely made this experience worth the walk and I definitely will be coming back for more food and ice cream!! I highly suggest this place great service good food and a awesome atmosphere!! This place gets 10 star...
