Avocado's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in La Grange

First off, the food was good. But my order of carnitas although cooked to perfection, put more than 4 table spoons of rice and beans.

When we ordered, we couldn't hardly order because the guy kept interrupting while giving him our order. Which I get it in a way. You're busy and you're trying to do everything right and fast. But our order was $133 and some change. And one of those orders was a kids chicken tender. Any time we go tother places our order is around $80. We did have 1 more order than usual, but it should have been way under $133. Plus I added a photo. That's a cup of queso that was $6+ that thing is the size of what you put ketchup in at burger King.

Definitely will be trying it again. But my daughter won't be in charge of getting it next time.

My first response was negative. Any time I leave a negative review, I always go back a few more times. Being that this was a brand new place and they had literally just opened for business, i knew I had to go back. I live maybe 5 minutes away. In the last 2 weeks I've been 3 times. Every single time it has been perfect. Being in a small town, I think this is a perfect fit for our town. All the servers are on it as you walk in the door. Your food is on the table within minutes. Extremely nice portions aswell. I leave stuffed and also with a Togo box. I'll be back alot. All the food is great. It doesn't matter what you order. But I'm a fan of the carnitas. 5*'s

Also my original complaint was the price. I think they just messed up. Because each time I've been back, the price seems cheaper than other...

We stopped by Avocado’s and overall had a really nice experience! The atmosphere is what really stood out to me—bright, colorful, and fun. The floral wall mural outside is perfect for photos (of course I had to grab one!), and the inside is just as vibrant and welcoming.

The food was good—not the best Mexican food I’ve ever had, but still enjoyable and filling. The service was pretty typical of what you’d expect at most Mexican restaurants: quick, efficient, but nothing that really stood out.

All in all, it’s a solid spot for a casual meal with a great vibe. I’d definitely go back again, especially just to soak in the...

We decided to visit this establishment tonight to support the fundraiser they were having to help the New Castle Elementary School PTO. I am so glad we did! We will definitely be back! I ordered the steak fajita tacos and I wish I would have taken a photo for reference, these tacos were FAT!! There was so much steak, not the tiny pieces of steak that I'm used to getting at mexican restaurants. These strips of steak were delicious, tender, juicy and they were really big pieces. Always support your local school fundraiser because you may come across a hidden gem that becomes your new favorite place! 10/10 recommend...
