The Star Bar of Texas — Restaurant in La Grange

LOCAL ONLY BAR! The definition of cliquish! The bartender and patrons are disrespectful to non locals who aren’t into childish, cliquey games. NOT a place for women who take pride in their appearance and want to enjoy a beer alone in peace. I was referred to as a “working girl” and the put of the jokes the entire time I was there. Apparently the blonde bartender didn’t like the way I ordered my beer, so she didn’t offer me an oversized koozie for my beer. I am a happily married woman and have my own money. I’m in town visiting my mother and wanted to unwind. When I left Lambert ASSUMED what they were saying was the problem. That’s not the case. I went to this bar to meet my new tamale lady. I got there before her so I went in to wait. I don't drink but there were several patrons in the bar. I'm guessing it was about 14 years ago i was in LaGrange working on addition to power plant. Star Bar was my wife and I place to go. From the first day till we left LaGrange the folks welcomed us.
