We decided to finally re-visit on the 10th & I have to say it was delicious! The prices have increased (like everywhere) but, compared to our local fast food places, it's not much more! Before I decided to give a review (& craving the deliciousness again), we had it again today!!! We had the enchiladas between the 2 of us (chorizo on corn & chicken on flour, both smothered in green chili with the beans & verm.) I am proud & delighted to say, they got their game back!!! Now, service, the waitresses, wonderful! I was over the moon to see the beautiful one I have always loved! The manager/ owner now, Lisa came out of the kitchen also again to ask how our food was! I did forget the smothered rellono that always comes home with me & doesn't last long!!!! All in all, I highly recommend giving them a try if your in the area! One day, I might remember...

We were passing through the town and stopped here to eat. Only after unloading everyone from the car and making our way inside the first set of doors did we see a handwritten "Cash Only" sign hanging up before entering the last set of doors to get into the restaurant. My family and I turned around to head back to the car when a lady came running out of the back door with food all over her hands waving us down to tell us they were open. When we told her we didn't have cash on us she said, "Just go to the ATM down the way and come back." Um, no. If you're that desperate for customers than get with the times and accept debit cards! I imagine it's a cash only business so they can cheat on their taxes. No one else in town is cash only. I can assume they lose a lot of business operating this way. They...

We came through La Junta about a year ago and had a wonderful meal here so this time we decided to return. Everything started out great. The wait staff was attentive and friendly at first but when we got the bill it was not itemized. Also we had to wait a long time to check out. I presented my Mastercard and was then told that they don’t accept credit cards, only cash or checks and there was an ATM on site. Luckily I had the cash. I did not see any sign that said no credit cards and waitstaff did not notify me. I ordered a no. 12 that was recommended by our waiter but can’t remember what they called it. I ordered it with mild sauce but it was too spicy for me and the flavor was mediocre. I...

This restaurant came recommended by a relative who lives in La Junta. I have traveled across the United States and this is hands-down some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. All of the staff and the owner were extremely nice. I ordered takeout (tamale, cheese enchilada, bean tostada, beans, and vermicelli) and my food was ready in less than five minutes! This restaurant is located very close to Otero Junior College McDivitt Center. They only accept cash so keep that in mind.

Super friendly and pleasant staff. I had the carnitas and they were great while my wife had the bean and potato burrito and she loved it. The margs are great only to be topped by the tres leches or cheesecake desserts! Great vibe and well appointed bar top off this “find” in La Junta. Thanks for a good dinner!

We stopped in for dinner and had a great time. The staff accommodated our large group quickly. We were served and attended to professionally and with care. The food was very good and in large portion. We definitely recommend the Mexico City Cafe.
