The thing I do not like about those place is not the service, prices or anything like that.. it's when you order something there's always something missing off the order. I specifically ordered a breakfast with avocado.. the avocado was missing. It took forever to find my waitress and a bit of time for her to bring out the missing avocado. It was ice cold and my meal was already getting cold from waiting then adding the really cold avocado to it completely changed how good it would of been if it had been correct in the first place. I know this was not our waitresses fault and she was actually a good waitress, she was just busy. This is why we don't go here often.. there are several other choices in town and we usually pick somewhere else. I love their pancakes so we do go maybe 2 times a year because of this and the other probably 50 times we eat out we go elsewhere. They have a much smaller menu since covid so I'm rather perplexed why this happens, but it does. Service from waiting to pies is wonderful otherwise.. it's truly a shame. I don't tell visitors about this restaurant for this very reason. Their pancakes...
Read moreAlways enjoyed going out to eat at this Village Inn, they offered wonderful service and both the management and waitresses were very kind and hospitable. Whenever we ate here their tables were clean and it was a cozy place to enjoy some great tasting food. I was familiar with the chain from growing up in the Southwest and this location really lived up to their reputation. I especially loved their breakfasts such as the huevos rancheros. They offered lots of healthy sides and light fare as well, and the french dip sandwich and chicken fried steak were my favorite dinner options. I recall one time I was ordering takeout for a group and the gentleman on the phone was very polite and accommodating, and was able to customize the french dip to get my friend exactly what he wanted. Five stars for the effort and making excellent comfort food. Our family in Colorado always loved ordering their pies for special occasions and holidays, and they were truly outstanding. Will definitely stop in again whenever we’re in the area, highly recommend them to anyone who plans on...
Read moreWe eat here once a week, usually for breakfast. If you like steak, I recommend it, just because it's always flavorful and tender. It's not very big, but the steak dinner/ or the steak and eggs, is only about $1 more than the other dinners or breakfasts, or even a cheeseburger, so it's well worth it. It's usually good food, but once in a while we get something that wasn't prepared correctly or is cold. Think Denny's, Perkins, or Bob Evans for a comparison. It's chain restaurant food. The service here is normally pretty great. I think we've only had a problem once or twice. Free pie on Wednesday! Note: when you enter the building, ask to sit on your left hand side (the side towards the bathrooms. I think they have a sewer pipe leak because you can smell it in the entry way and on the right hand side seating area. We just ask to sit on the left hand side and we...
