Tootsie's Ice Cream and More — Restaurant in La Porte City

There was hair in my daughter's ice cream. She pulled her spoon out of her ice cream and there was dark hair on her spoon. I took it back to the window and told the boy and he didn't know what to do. I asked for another to be made he did so with no problem. We received no apology or remorse. They forgot to make all of our order so we had a long wait, though we were their only customers. While waiting I noticed that a few of them not wearing anything to cover their hair, so before leaving I questioned the older woman who came to the window only to be responded with attitude and told they do not have to wear anything if hair is short enough. I can't really recommend this place.

Ordered a caramel sundae and Oreo Twister.

The "caramel" was cheap caramel. It tasted more like butterscotch than caramel. Definitely a cheap substitute.

The Oreo Twister was blended into a smoothie and made with Hydrox Cookies instead of Oreo's.

EVERYONE knows Hydrox can't even compete with an Oreo and have a completely different flavor.

I pay for Oreo, I want Oreo. NOT some cheap substitute.

The ice cream tastes more like whip cream and the texture was definitely too "fluffy".

Good thing we don't live too far from LaPorte City, cuz by the time we got home, the treats we ordered made us sick.

Their menu has too many items, not all their employees know what's on it. My last few visits the employees, after I ordered, had to request I change my order one way or another at the window because they either didn't have parts of my order in stock, or it wasn't on the menu, e.g. butterscotch flavorburst.

Also, the food I have been givem, has been greasy and sloppily it together, overflowing from their containers, making a mess of my car, table, and or me. Indigestion and heartburn usually arrive within hours of consuming their food. Just very disappointed with the experiences of...
