Grandote Steakhouse & Bar — Restaurant in La Veta

My husband & I ate here on 6/28/24. We had reservations @6:00, but we were the only party dining inside. There were a few tables out on the patio eating. We both have filets for dinner. The rolls & butter were very good, the salad bar was cold & fresh ingredients. The filets were soooo tender but lacking flavor (would be wonderful with a compound butter on top), but steaks were excellent. We had garlic mashed potato’s for the sides and were fabulous! The $35 price was excellent for the amount of food you get and quality was fabulous. The best part of our meal was our waitress Rachelle who was so friendly and gave us EXCELLENT service❤️. This is an okay restaurant but don’t go there expecting a nice steakhouse. The atmosphere was just okay so if the weather is nice make sure you choose the outdoor patio. The salad bar was beginning to yellow on the edges so that is never a good way to start your meal. There were 7 of us and we all felt as though the ribeye was the best meal of the group. Our server was very nice but she seemed a bit overwhelmed perhaps by the size of our group. I think I’d return but only for a burger or hot...
