Wiser Choice — Restaurant in Laceyville

As we were walking in the door (10:45 ish) 10 people were walking out complaining they wouldn’t serve them breakfast food and they wanted breakfast so they weren’t giving the wiser choice there business and they were going to the Lawton diner owned and operated by Shawn blaisure also owner of Shawnee boys garage.... we came in and ordered our drinks and food and have yet to get our food (been all but 45 minutes) I finished my soda and put the EMPTY cup at the edge of the table and our waitress walked by 3 times never asking if I wanted more so the other waitress came and asked me.... keep in mind no food but I would like to add in they are still bringing breakfast out for people so not sure why the group of 10 got turned away.... anyhow young kid walks out of the kitchen dressed like a hoodlum wearing ear buds.... seems to me the diner works off young kids and they cook one order at a time.... we are still waiting for our food I certainly hope it’s better then the service but we won’t be returning here again as I don’t have all day to just sit here waiting for food.... if your in a hurry or want to eat quickly this is NOT the...

This could be such a great place. Unfortunately, the food all tasted like rancid, dirty grill/cooking surface. We both got breakfast sandwiches; my husband said his bacon tasted rancid; my ham also - nearly inedible; was tough, thin, overcooked deli slices (but there was a generous amount), plus egg was undercooked. Would have sent them back, but it clearly wouldn't have made any difference. Ordered on a biscuit, thinking it would be a nice, tender, sandwich size biscuit...nope! - small, clearly mass produced. Breakfast potatoes chunks of tasteless sogginess - frozen? Wait staff seemed enamoured of a certain visitor/local while we waited for service, but it was friendly...

We were visiting our son and his fiancé for the weekend. Had breakfast here Sunday morning and it was great! Very large portions!!! My son’s fiancé and I decided to share a garden omelette and French toast. My son had the hungry man breakfast which was a little bit of everything. His pancakes were huge! We couldn’t eat all of it so the kids were able to have another meal out of our feast. I wasn’t sure about carrots in an omelette but the garden omelette was delightful with the carrots, cauliflower & broccoli, topped with Swiss cheese......very nice combination of flavors! Our waitress was attentive. Cute little place in a cute old time type...
