The Marketplace at Wesselhof Farms — Restaurant in Lafayette Township

My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of lunch here yesterday. Previously, I have only popped in for a breakfast wrap, which is always tasty. Yesterday, we had chicken noodle soup, a light beef chili (locally sourced beef), a grilled cheese, and a kale and chickpea salad. Everything was absolutely delicious, and served by several wonderful young ladies working there. Each one was friendly, professional, knowledgeable about their offerings, and genuine in their desire to ensure our satisfaction. They were outstanding representatives of the business.

The place was packed with other happy diners, and the farm to table feel and large assortment of take home products was great. Pricing was very reasonable and the coffee on point.

Been going here every weekend for breakfast one day lunch another day. I learned the food here is all grown and raised on the owners farm, he was such a sweetheart as well as his employees. Seen the owner picking the vegetables. My breakfast favorite is the Western omelet, here the peppers and onions are so fresh and not soggy or from a jar and the taste is just a lot different then if I were to order this somewhere else. Oh not to mention he sells his vegetables which I now will only buy and his burgers he sells, in the freezer, best burger I have ever had, hands down and I’m obsessed with burgers. Coming here for many years. Food is always good to very good. Nice outdoor ambience. Their problem, on more occasions then not, is their service. Understand please, I'm NOT speaking of the personnel per se, they work very hard. But the ordering process often seems very slow and/or confusing perhaps to the customers, forcing longer then desirable wait times in line. It seems that there are often considerable questions being battered around even though this establishment does not have an extensive "diner" menu. Often one person can slow the line sufficiently to cause 7 or 8 person backups. IIMO, some streamlining is much warrented. Nevertheless, i recommend this...
