The po boys are very tasty and the homade potato rounds are excellent. A couple of things to note: I wish I had known that the potato rounds were unsalted before leaving the drive through. This made them a little bland...I would recommend using seasoning salt to really bring out the flavor. When it comes to po boys, fresh bread is everything. My bread didn't seem to be that day's, but it certainly wasn't bad and it wouldn't deter me from purchasing again. Now, here's what would. Usually po boys come with lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. I like to add jalapeño and onions. In this instance, it didn't (I believe it came with one veggie...not sure which one). I added lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles and jalapeños. Each veggie addition cost $1.25 each. Yikes! Come on y'all! Usually veggies do not cost extra (they certainly don't at Subway, Quiznos or Jimmy John's). Now, I get it. You're not a huge national franchise and you have to recoup some costs. However, $1.25 buys a whole head of lettuce, a couple tomatoes, a whole onion, and a whole jar of jalapeños. 50 cents a piece seems reasonale. Don't make the customer feel ripped of. Give them value. I enjoyed the food, however, I can't afford to spend $20 on a po boy (especially when I can get the same thing somewhere else for about $12) on a regular basis so I won't be back.

Old style atmosphere with solid quality food. The bread used for the fried shrimp poboy is the first part of the magic. Crispy crust that flakes easily exposing the moist perfect bread hidden within. The second part is the fresh shrimp, fried to perfection. Having just had a fried shrimp poboy at another well known Lafayette establishment yesterday, I can say there’s is no way to pick a clear winner other than to say everyone wins having food like this to chose from. Will definitely be back to try that fried catfish I saw on the table nearby.

When you aren’t home, you appreciate, especially during these difficult times for the warm welcome and embrace that comfort food can provide. Julien’s is an unassuming place, but don’t be fooled. The welcome and the service is as if you were visiting with family. The menu is both traditional and varied. The Alligator Sausage po-boy and Kurley Qs were delicious - especially when paired with a bottomless cup of sweet tea. Take a moment. Pull up a chair. Stay a spell and enjoy!

RACIST AT its FINEST!!! I spoke with someone prior to visiting this business to apply. They told me to come at a specific time and date to complete application. I arrived on time at this so called place of business and the door was locked. I proceeded to call their business line. An older man answered the phone. I explained to him about my application appointment. He continues to say "oh your the person in the black car", I said "Yes sir I am". He says well well that's why we are here, come inside. I. was a bit skeptical , but I said ok. I arrived at the door for the 2nd time and again the business was locked. I waited about 5 min. He finally opened the door. The lights were off. I Walked into a dark restaurant. He didn't greet me or anything. He walks over and hands me an application. I accepted and waited for an ink pen or pencil. He didn't offer one so I asked him for one. He says " You came to fill out an application without anything to write with??" At this point I could see where this was going. I apologized and told him I wouldn't be filling out his application. He then continued to say yes that is a good idea. I DID NOTHING FOR THIS OLDER CAUCASIAN MAN TO MISTREAT OR ACT RUDELY TOWARDS ME. THE MIN. HE SAW ME HE STARED ME UP AND DOWN AND JUDGED ME BY THE COLOR OF MY SKIN. HE CONTINUED TO GIVE ME A VERY HARD TIME AFTER THIS POINT. I AM WRITING TO LET THE PUBLIC KNOW. IF YOUR A PERSON OF COLOR PLEASE STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESSE!!!!! RACISM STILL EXISTS AND IT IS IN FULL FORCE IN THE SOUTH. SHAME ON HIM!! I WILL CONTINUE TO PRAY...

the food was OKAY the "onion strings" tasted exactly like the canned things you put on a green bean casserole, no actual onion contained. They were out of romaine lettuce so had to just disregard the entire salad selection and settle for a wrap which was some tiny chewy pieces of chicken, way too much sauce, and 80% iceberg lettuce. The "thin" roast beef was so thick I could barely cut it with my teeth. Now on to the most important matter! THE STAFF the poor girl working the counter was trying to resolve some type of issue with someone on the phone, some off the clock employee came in and was talking to the "cook" about it and when she tried to tell them what whoever said on the phone the lady YELLED at her to mind her business basically right in front of me. then was standing in the door with I guess the other cook (2 African American females) talking loudly and cursing. I WILL NEVER BE BACK and will no longer send business to this completely unprofessional...
