I recently had the pleasure of dining at your establishment and wanted to share some feedback about my experience.
First, I want to commend the younger staff members for their friendliness and professionalism. They made the experience enjoyable, and the food was truly excellent. I did not get his name, but he had curly black hair.
However, I did encounter some issues with the service from some of the older staff. When we arrived, one staff member immediately asked if we had a reservation. While we didn’t, there was no mention of the option for takeout, which would have been helpful. It wasn’t until a younger staff member kindly explained that I could order for takeout that I understood my options.
It felt as though the treatment we received might have been influenced by the fact that we were not residents. While I understand policies about reservations, clearer communication and a more welcoming approach would have improved the experience greatly. The bartender was also very rude and unfriendly. she handed my drink without telling me the amount just stared at me waiting for me to pay. Then, when I handed her my money, she said she had no change. I ordered another drink and told her to keep the change. I didn’t even get a thank you.
I’m sharing this feedback in hopes that it can help enhance the experience for future guests. Thank you for your attention, and I look forward to visiting again and enjoying your...
Read moreSo disappointed! Staying here at resort, invited family that live near over for dinner at The Island. Party of 6 with reservations. Food was sub-par, what food we got. 2 steaks ordered medium rare, came out medium well, salmon that had no flavor, and they don’t have tartar sauce to help. The bam bam shrimp was 4 shrimp on a bed of rice with no flavor .The pasta dish that was ordered by niece got given to another guest, we understood, what we didn’t understand is they could not make her anything else, kitchen was closed. ( a patron leaving my restaurant without a thing to eat after 2 hours of being there would NEvER happen, that’s not good business) The waitress knew at 8:30 she had still not received her food, the rest of the table was thru eating ( and yes we offered to share). My niece then said “ok, just bring me a burger “ and was told No kitchen closed. Their hours state they are open till 9. Needless to say that was a $250 bill and she left hungry and all of us very disappointed. I would NOT recommend this establishment until they figure out how to make right their wrongs and make the food fit with the atmosphere! Not a...
Read moreIsland Bar and Grill has a fantastic view. I had no idea it was on the opposite side of Pace Bend Park until we stumbled on it, and it looks like a castle mansion from afar. We saw this building before and made jokes about it on the other side of the river. It’s inside a gated community, so you have to call them on the portal at the gate, and parking was a bit confusing despite some signs. We tried the smash burger and the pesto chicken sandwich. The burger was underseasoned, and the chicken sandwich didn’t taste like pesto at all, though the chicken was grilled nicely. The bun was super sweet, which was a weird match for the sandwich but tasty on its own. Our sides of grilled green beans and broccolini were expertly grilled but way too salty. My other complaint was that the veggie juices soaked into the bottom bun—separate containers would help. The highlight was the parmesan fries, perfectly crispy with those little crumbles you love. The table beside us were drunk and being super loud. Overall a cool spot for the view, and the price is decent (15 for a burger with sides). We also took a stroll in the area after the...
