Dickey's Barbecue Pit — Restaurant in LaGrange

*Once again an edit One of the owners told me if I would give them another chance she would give the order for free. But I don’t like doing that so I went tonight to get two-two meat platters for dinner and pay for them myself. Didn’t order ahead because that doesn’t work well for me ( never have what I order then I have to work to get my money back). So I go in and go to order when one of the employees said they are out of brisket and won’t have any ribs for another half hour. So you guessed it I left with no food. To the owner who spoke with me I gave it another try but right now I’m sitting a different bbq joint having brisket.

One of the owners called me to discuss the issue I had. She listened and heard my concerns. She was very apologetic and told me there were some growing pains going on at this location. I felt a lot better after our conversation and I will go back to give it another try. I always try to be fair and to this deserves another try.

**. EDIT. For the THIRD time I have showed up to get my order and they don’t have it. They are out. Then it’s my problem to make sure I get my money back. You force people to order through the app to get the deal of the day to get the discount but when you show up no food…and no one called to tell you they didn’t have your food. I have people waiting on dinner but I have no dinner. That’s it, that’s the last time this happens to me. Now I’ve got people hungry and I have to figure out where to get food now! Three strikes your out!! How disappointing.

Never again. Found this place one day as I was running an errand. I used to go to Dickeys when I lived in north Georgia. The food was excellent, the service was fast and friendly and the dining area was clean and inviting. Left there knowing we will...

We stopped by Dickey's Barbecue Pit in LaGrange, GA for lunch today and thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Upon entering the establishment, we were greeted with friendly voices from behind the counter. We weren't sure what we wanted to order because all of the menu items looked delicious. The ladies were patient and even offered samples so we knew what we were working with and OH MY! I blinked and for a second, I thought I was back home in the great state of Texas. While Dickey's is a restaurant that originated in Texas, one can never be too sure about if the quality will be the same or even similar to the original locations. You can be sure of the quality here because of the mouth-watering taste this location graces your palate with! We had brisket, ribs, jalapeño cheese sausage, regular sausage, mac and cheese, potato salad, spicy sauce, original sauce, and scrumptious pickles! Every item was so delicious and had us wanting more even though the portions were perfect! A huge perk is you can download the app and accumulate points to use for future purchases. I've been here before,,usually always get the giant bakers. Good...but not great.I got 3 to go, nearly 40$. I got home and found them cold and very undercooked. They are so hard that it's like they were straight from the bag. I called to either get them replaced or a refund only to find out I couldn't get either. They didn't have anymore potatoes and the lady working doesn't know how to do refunds. She did give the managers phone number which wasn't answered. Just seems like a poor way of operating a business . Wendy's baked potatoes would have been better. I'm not a fan of the meats there, but do get the potatoes when I go. I might add,I don't go often due to the foods guality. They really should make it known that the food is premade and warmed up by them. It's hard to have pit BBQ without a pit,infrared smoker or any type cooker. They do have a Big Green Egg out back As of now I can't resolve the issue but I'm not going to let it drop. McDonald's would offer...
