950 Speakeasy Bistro — Restaurant in Lagro

I had the best time last night. I had never heard of this place until my good friend Bonnie told me about a night she had spent there with friends. Before long we were planning our own date night so I could go and check it out.

As usual, she did NOT disappoint!

This place is just gorgeous; truly beautiful. Just little pockets of awesomeness. Everywhere you look you see something beautiful. And the bar! Omg the bar is just PERFECTION! that teal inlay (I think it is called anyhow lol) 😍

The staff is great. Very welcoming. Very appreciative. Very inviting. There was no ownership over customers. If someone walked by and heard you wondering about something or commenting about something-theybwoukd stop and give you an answer or a suggestion. Truly. The met your needs before you knew you had a need.lol. but it wasn't overbearing or 'needy'. It was welcoming. You feel cared for and you feel like you are among friends.

Our bartender Stephanie, was so much fun. She chatted with us and she answered my hundreds of questions. She had suggestions when I was curious about a menu item or..... Whatever. She took great care of us.

I had pizza and it was divine! I'm so sad I didn't try 'The Falls' pizza. I'm not adventurous with food sadly so I didn't give it a try and instead went with a trusted favorite of mine but now I know what they are rocking with in the kitchen..... Oh yeah. I'm getting 'The Falls' next time for sure!!! Bonnie had a stromboli and she said it was, "the best she ever had". 'Nuff said.

The drinks.... Ok..... I cannot tell a lie.... I had.... An experience.....A divine experience. I saw a jar of fresh cinnamon sticks and was curious.. of course I was lmao Our bartender Stephanie told me what they were for and one of the drinks sounded good so I gave it a try... 😋 I had the BEST drink I have EVER had in my life!! Omg. I wish I could of gotten out the door with it because I wanted so badly to go visiting and have everyone sample. I don't know what it's called but it had.... ummm I think it had..... Boy she wasn't lying when she said they sneak up on you 😂... It was apple cider, maybe triple sec and apple brandy and something else.....

Girlllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll.......1 sip and I was in love!! It was absolutely divine. It tasted just like honey crisp apple. Perfectly sweet, perfectly smooth. It wasn't heavy or filling just refreshing!

It was too cold to enjoy the talent outside but we had a great time sitting inside while the guest strummed his guitar and played some of my favorites. If you like acoustic music, then you'd love this. Very intimate setting. I didn't catch his name but he was great. He played a little CCR, Seven Mary Three, Cranberries, Tom Petty, Garth Brooks, Motley Crue....

I'm so sad I didn't take pictures. I know that I'm a terrible reviewer lol. Luckily other reviewers weren't so forgetful.

Just moved to town and was super excited to find this little gem! I wanted to love it but it fell short 😭 it was our first time here but will be giving it another go! Hoping to have a better experience.

Never was acknowledged, our first time so we stood there for a second and saw the sign to seat yourself. There were 2-3 young people at the counter working- but never said anything to us.

Food was mediocre. With drinks, we spent over $100 for 3 adults. All 3 meals were brought out seperatly. The first one to get their meal (sandwich) was done before I got mine (pizza). And I was just finishing when our third got his (pizza)🥴.

I will say the falls pizza I got was so sad looking🥲 I’ll put a photo of my to-go box along with the photo they use to advertise it lol.

I ordered one of their specialty drinks- The first one was great! The second one was missing an ingredient (I think it was supposed to be OJ?) we knew right away as the drink went from an orange and red color to a pure red drink. We didn’t see the waitress much so I ended up trying to drink it.

Side note- since we were the only ones in the upstairs … we did see a lot of attitude from the younger workers. This one in particular was not happy with a customer downstairs. Just puts a bit of a bad taste in your mouth.

So as I said- we will be trying it again in the future for lunch. Hoping to have a better experience so we have a new hangout🍻 Very small menu but also looking forward to trying the...

Zero Stars are not an option, or that’s what they would get. My wife and I and another couple drove 45 minutes on a Saturday for dinner and live music. This was our first time here and we were looking forward to it. We arrived at 6:55pm. We were greeted by 3 employees upon entering. They told us we could sit anywhere…upstairs, downstairs, or outside. We chose to sit outside. They weren’t that busy, but after 10 minutes of no one acknowledging us, not even a look, my friend went inside and got us menus. After 10 more minutes of being ignored, servers walking right passed us, with no look, waiting the other tables, we decided to sit inside. Once inside, we sat at a table in the corner, next to the door that leads outside, next to the band that was sitting up, next to two tables that were being served. Again, no acknowledgment, not even a look from 3 servers working the area. So at 7:35pm, after being there 40 minutes with zero acknowledgment from anyone, I handed our menus back to a server on the way out and told her she could have these back after 40 minutes without service. We took our party our money to Ft. Wayne. Never...
