I HIGHLY RECOMMEND A SHORT TRIP WEST OF ENID ON HWY 412, TO EAT AT THIS RESTARAUNT!!! This is a New Mexican Restaurant in Lahoma, OKLAHOMA. We were greeted at the door with a friendly smile, and seated immediately. We were given Organized, Colorful, Well Written menus, and a Basket of delicious crispy Chips, and Fresh Salsa (Best I've tasted in this area!) And a Large Glass of Lemon Water! The wait staff was attentive, and easily understood. He answered my questions about the menu, without hesitation. He knew his stuff about Mexican Food! He was polite while taking my order - And spoke in perfect English with me - And in fluent Spanish, with my dinner companion. Another BIG PLUS! The food was ALL made fresh! And arrived perfectly timed... The Guacamole was the BEST I have ever tasted! This was followed by a Large oval plate filled with a Chicken Quesadia stuffed with marinated, shredded chicken breast, peppers, onions, and drizzled with yummy white queso cheese! Sides were perfectly cooked rice, tasty refried beans, a generous scoop of Guacamole on a crispy bed of lettuce, and a serving of Sour Cream with a delicious slice of tomato as garnish!!! The serving size was so generous I had to ask for a "To Go" Box, to take half of it home for today's Lunch! Which I just had - and it was Delicious! My friend had a Chorizo Torta - I had no idea what that was - But he said it was the Best he had ever eaten! And he's a Picky eater!!! LOL!!! The food was moderately priced and worth every penny! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT to Anyone who loves authentic, freshly made Mexican Food! Come give it a try - and tell them Bridget sent you!!!

Cafe Coyote OK just opened July 24th at 212 Lahoma Rd...just minutes from Fairview, and a few miles from Enid...which means Mexican food in an quaint building in a small town...which, of course, means AMAZING food...and I was not disappointed! Serving authentic Mexican dishes along with signature creations in a cozy small town cafe setting, it has a great vibe...Mexi-Okie, not Tex-Mex... I opted for the Happy Chicken...mainly because chorizo...and it was fantastic! The chorizo was nicely seasoned, not too greasy, and really complimented the shrimp and grilled chicken. Served with rice and beans, which were also great. A great choice, and it did, in fact make me happy :) The portion size was plentiful, and there are a variety of menu options...including breakfast dishes served all day. Huevos Rancheros or Huevo Chorizo for dinner? Yep, they have that! The service was prompt and friendly, and even though they were busy, my food arrived in under ten minutes...just long enough to polish off a bowl of chips and homemade salsa. So if you are out in the Enid/Fairview/Lahoma area, add Cafe Coyote to your Taste Tour list. Or, just make the drive when you want to try a new Oklahoma Original, or have a hankering for Huevo Chorizo...

WOW!!! Passing through Enid OK and we saw this place and decided to give it a shot. Ok first off they have Pepsi 0 sugar not many restaurants carry it.. Next let's talk salsa and chips, I have never been to a Mexican restaurant where they give you individual bowls for your salsa, no double dipping issues. We got 2 salsas, one was good but it was basic salsa. They other however, DAMN! You could taste the Chile de arbol and it has a bit of a kick. I got fajitas and it was served in a pineapple. Steak, chicken and shrimp. All cooked perfectly. Onions were great. Rice and beans were great. My daughter got carne asada tacos and the steak was seasoned beautifully. My wife got shrimp ceviche, now I'm not a fan of raw onions or cilantro but it was amazing. Sampled the Chipotle shrimp from my mother in laws plate and it also was amazing. Our servers were amazing took care of everything we needed. This indeed was authentic Mexican food. Definitely give cafe coyote a try.....I've been writing this as I am eating. Had the privilege of meeting the owner and his sons and told them this was all great. Very humble family.
