Italian Pizzeria and Restaurant — Restaurant in Lake City

Stopped in because I wanted to slices of cheese pizza pad I would assume, and the woman at the register was the owner. I asked how much Two slices of cheese pizza would be. She told me almost 6 dollars! I explained to the lady this is a little expensive. She responded that everything is expensive in the world . This is a tiny restaurant that claims to serve Italian food and is owned by a Latino couple. I would think that for a very good Italian food you would want Italian honors. She saw me having difficulty paying as I was paying the quarters. And instead of being nice, she counted down every coin I had down to the penny to make sure it was there. Now this is a business and I’m not saying that they have to give away food. But, a little humanity is nice! After receiving my two slices of overprice pizza, I asked how much for one garlic knot. The man proceeded to tell me four for two dollars. Could I buy just one I asked a man? He told me no I could not. I told him or ask him wouldn’t it be better to sell one garlic knot for $.50 and tax Then to not sell anything else to me? I didn’t want for garlic knots as I was one person. One or two would’ve suffice and $.50 apiece plus tax I would’ve purchase. However, they refuse to sell me one or two garlic knots! Yes, business is obviously not interested in customer service. Listen, I’m not asking that they lower their price although that would be nice. But if somebody comes in and is making a purchase, and they are a penny or a dime off, can’t you just offer to cover that or not worry about it? But more importantly, was their attitude and care about them. They seemed very entitled and stuck up. I won’t be returning to their establishment ever again. But I don’t think they really care about that. It was my first time in town end, I know I wasn’t dressed the best because I had been working in my storage unit all day. But, they treated me like I was a bum ! And I understand that they sell four garlic knots for two dollars. Why couldn’t they sell me to garlic knots for one dollar plus tax? I just wanted some thing else to fill my stomach. Oh well, but I hope somebody reading this post who is contemplating going in there to eat well rethink the idea because this business deserves to see and see oh, what one person‘s Google review can do. There are times when we can all be down on our lot and maybe only have a little bit of change with us. But seriously, one penny is going to make or break...

Had food ordered oct 11th for me on a Friday night. Pizza did NOT have extra cheese like I asked for..garlic knotta had a hair in them. Red Dipping sauce literally tasted watery and like it came out of a cheap jar or can. I like their pizzas usually but this pie was mostly bread. Wasn't as big either and came smaller in the box. Had less toppings. Normally I go in person to check the pizza. Prices went up and this is disappointing. Calzones were empty and hollow. Salads are a joke. Small and lack garden ingredients. Maybe the problem is you don't have Italians making the pizza? I don't want to hear the news either to go in or the workers yelling at each other in Spanish. Pizza is still delicious but I payed for extra cheese I didn't get. Wings were ok, but not spicy hot like I asked. I'll let this slide, but if this happens again I'm going to other places. I also tip for take out, but I shouldn't feel obligated to over tip either. They don't say thank you when tipped in the jar unless its a lot. No naplins, no plates, no parm or crushed red pepper for a to go order? Maybe I'll go back to Frankie's or Sal's. Even pizza boy. They want to act high end here but botched a pizza. Does this look like extra cheese? No celery this time either with the wings, and last time the celery was skinny top ends light color, and brown tipped. Was insulting. You're supposed to give the bottom thick green part of the celery. They never do. Then they didn't want to sell just 4 garlic knotts at dinner time either? This is why people dont tip much...

I'm only giving this star so I can write this review, by far THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED! This was my first time with in and definitely my last! The only person that was even half way friendly was a guy who was sitting in there who did not work there, and he only half way smiled. When I came in everyone went to the other room like I had a plague, the woman who took my order was very nice nasty in dealing with me, probably only talked to me bc I was ordering. They brought me out something I did not order and when I made the woman aware of it, she just told me that's not what she rung you up for, smh. When the woman gave me my cup, she touch the rim with her hands and when I asked for another cup that she had not touched she just stared as if I was wrong, no apology. I was thinking it was bc I'm black, but no my manager says she has received the same poor service and she is not black, but any who, I can see why there is never much traffic at this place because I would NOT recommend a dog to go here!
