Raccoon River Coffeehouse — Restaurant in Lake City

Staff was friendly and it has a more modern like type of lounge area.

They have smoothies, bars, teas, drinks more suited to children, and yes plenty of coffee options.

I can't review the food because I really didn't see much for food there and didn't eat anything there for first time since it opened. Some pre packaged snack bars are available. Heads up I'm pretty sure most are not gluten free but they are tasty.

I want to be fair as well just because I am a driver and eat at a lot of gas stations and truck stops, pre packaged/canned food is pretty readily available, however, that noted I still think the scotcheroo bar was pretty decent (eaten on way home).

They do have oat milk available from the looks of it and maybe soy milk/almond milk if you like that stuff.

Good luck to this place in remaining open for a long time. This is exactly what lake city Iowa needs. More business so the town can grow. I'm rooting for...

I am usually a coffee snob, and I have yet to actually try a coffee here. The first time I tried them I got a lotus drink and I have been hooked ever since! So my review is based solely upon that, because now that I love that, I have tried nothing else. My kids enjoy the smoothies and other lotus drinks. I do one that has pineapple and cold foam. They make really good thick cold foam! Thats a 5 star in my book. So many places don't understand how to do what Raccoon River Coffeehouse does. The prices are good, and they always have a nice crowd for the size of the town! There's cute little shopping here. They even carry one of my favorite clean brands, so it's nice to grab things there locally. I need to try a coffee, but for now, the pineapple...
