I went to Summer House just to grab a casual lunch, and it went as follows: Atmosphere: This is a very nice establishment with indoor and outdoor seating. Although, I recommend sitting outside to get the full "Lake Life" experience. You can choose between an upper deck and a lower patio outside. I sat on the upper deck, and it was nice to feel the light breeze, breathe the fresh air, and of course, take in the beautiful lake view. 5 out of 5. Service: The service was wonderful. I unfortunately do not know the name of my server, but he was very friendly with a professional demeanor and appearance. He checked in enough to ensure I was taken care of without checking in so much that it was pestering. 5 out of 5. Food: Finally, I'll address the food as that's what's center stage here. I started with the cheese curds appetizer. Other places where you get cheese curds often make them with mostly breading and a little cheese and/or have them drenched in grease. That wasn't the case here. I got a big portion (enough for 3-4 people to snack on) of large, creamy curds with crispy, light breading that weren't overly greasy. They came with chives and ranch, and the taste was amazing. As a Wisconsin native, I can say these are some of the best I've had, and they should leave a great impression of one of this state's staple food items on the out-of-towners in the area. Next, I had the "Walleye Hoagie," a hoagie with Walleye, slaw, and a side of fries. Mine had too much slaw, and it overpowered the walleye, leaving me feeling like I was eating slaw on bread. The edges of the walleye were crispy and added some crunch, which was nice, but still left me disappointed. The fries were reminiscent of McDonald's fries, so I only had a few. I was expecting to get bar fries, which also left me disappointed. My order of cheese curds, the Walleye Hoagie, and a Diet Pepsi came to $35 before the tip. In my opinion, it was a bit too expensive for the food you get, but if you consider that the service and atmosphere are so good and that this is in a tourist destination, it makes it a little more reasonable. Conclusion: I think Summer House is a wonderful place to have a great time with family and friends. If I would have ordered a different entree, this very well could have been a 5-star experience. All in all, the view, service, and atmosphere really exemplify what summer in Wisconsin is all about: taking the time to enjoy the ones you love.

We went to Summer House for dinner since it is a new local establishment that we've not tried yet. Appetizers: Giant Pretzel - it was hot and delicious and Huge! It came with a spicy mustard and beer/cheese spread. It was delicious! #2 Appetizer - Roasted Beet Hummus. Not too beet-y and topped with some feta and pistachio nuts. Came with pita triangles and and cucumber slices. And also good with the pretzel! Main Entree - we both had the Walleye. You had a choice of soup or salad. We chose salad with a balsamic vinegarette. The salad was a nice mix of greens rather than the typical cheap iceberg lettuce. I didn't care for the dressing. Not sure if the oil was old or ??? It just tasted...off. The Walleye came with corn and mashed potatoes and a roll. The fish was good. Not a bone in it and no skin to remove! The corn was just that. Some previously frozen, tasteless corn. And the mashed potatoes were nothing fancy. I added lots of butter, extra salt and pepper to make them taste better. The service was fantastic! Everyone was friendly and the general manager was very engaged in making sure the tables were set and ready for guests. I'd go back again. You should give this place a try!

It's in walking distance from Aloha Beach hotel so you can get a drink and walk back to your room! We ate here several times for this reason alone. - The pretzel appetizer is great, it's practically the size of a steering wheel lol - Nice lake view from many tables - Outside seating is mostly shaded The rest is pretty standard "tourist trap" stuff: - Limited menu, for example: no grilled chicken on the standard menu but I was "allowed" to order it from the kids menu because I had my kids with me. - Substitutions are a challenge: the kitchen apparently finds it hard to make half a pizza Hawaiian and leave the pineapple off the other half so it's just cheese. - Most servers seemed to struggle with English or hearing us, especially indoors where the music is loud. - Very limited kids menu - Drinks were hit and miss: the Mango Dragon Mojito was so minty it was like drinking toothpaste laced with lime. The Horchata and Sunset Passion Colada were great, though.

Would love to go back again! Beautiful lake view. Make sure to ask for a closer spot if you'd like. They had some umbrellas to block the sun which helped the heat a lot. Parking was very easy as I think they bought the lots across from them so there are plenty of parking spaces available. Big signs helped a lot saying Summer House parking only. Drinks were good but felt like they were virgins. Got the fish tacos, ahi tuna, the burger, and crab shrimp roll. All tasted tasty except the ahi tuna which tasted pretty fishy for me. The hostess and server were very kind and friendly. Was perfect on coming to check on us not too much or too little. You can go downstairs by the shore and dock to check out the water and view. There's a cute patio setup where you can relax and take pictures. You can travel by boat and come tie it up by the dock and dine in.

I wanted to be wowed by this little out of the way gem with a lakefront patio, but nope. It's pretty much a burger/sandwich joint and it's not even doing those right. Service was abominable. Waited 15 minutes before flagging the hostess to get us some water. Waited another 10 for the server. It was busy but not overwhelming. Our server had 3 tables. Perhaps she had a hangover. The jumbo pretzel was fun. I had the black bean burger. Not impressed. I've had better from the frozen food section. My friend had shrimp and crab roll. I don't know what it actually was but it wasn't either of those things. Our 12 year old thought the cheeseburger was just "meh". We both left unfinished food. I was presented my beer in an unopened can with no glass. It's got a great patio with live music. Overall underwhelming and expensive patio meal experience.

My husband, two daughters (12 & 6), and I are in Wisconsin for Nationals for dance. We came here on a recommendation from another dance parent and so glad we did. All 4 of us loves this place so much we have been twice and possibly will go a third before we leave. The atmosphere is incredible, service is acceptional and the food is phenomenal! Between our first visit and the second they opened an ice cream and gift shop my girls loved the ice cream and we sat and enjoyed the live music. I normally am not a huge fan of live music because it's mediocre at best but the lady and gentleman they had were superb!! It was a great time! I am gonna miss this place when we head back to Kansas City. We have dined at several establishments here and this was by far the best and most consistent place here! HIGHLY recommend for all ages!
