Jack's BAR-B-Q — Restaurant in Lake Elsinore

I was really excited to try Jacks tonight for the first time since the remodel unfortunately we had a horrible experience. I Don’t typically leave bad reviews I prefer to give the business the benefit of the doubt and the opportunity to correct themselves however, the manager handled our situation horribly and I will never be giving them another chance. My family came In Hungry waited to be seated and were within about 10 minutes. Ordered drinks our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Ordered food and waited about 45 to an hour for food. It was a busy Saturday night so I understand that they were backed up however when our food arrived it was all cold, soggy and undercooked. My husband asked our waitress if they had a microwave just to warm our food at this point we’ve waited so long we were fine with it just being heated. She said let me get a manager and when he came to our table we informed him that our food was cold he said , “ Well it must be fine you’re eating it!” Of course my kids were starving we waited over an hour! We were hungry all we wanted was for the food to be heated. He then took our food told us he tried it and it was fine! So basically Implied we were lying about it! If I didn’t want the food I would’ve walked out during the long wait, like others were doing ,not waited until we got it! Horrible management and that’s u fortunate in our small town we were looking forward to supporting this business!

In response to the owner. If you look at all His reviews he never takes accountability for his bad reviews he always had an excuse instead of listening to the customer and taking it into an account. In addition those accusations are lies! One I did not have an attitude your manager did and two my story did not change nothing on my tray was more than luke warm especially the potatoes!! Also at no point in time did I ever ask for any of my mail to be comped all I wanted was to be heated! Your customer service response was way faster on social media then it was in the restaurant. I have never seen another business badmouth the customer especially after leaving a review usually they want to correct the issue and take care of the customer! Like I said before if this was handled in a more professional matter I would’ve gladly I returned and gave this restaurant...

This is a kool neighborhood spot with live music and good food and a great lake view. My rating is lowered specifically after I've been twice...I left abruptly the 3rd time...because there is a HUGE problem with how the wait staff...the bartenders..AND mgmt/owners MISTREAT Black people. I use...mistreat..in lieu of the blatant disrespect and callous behavior I've witnessed at Jack's.

Clearly....lots of folks like this place. I know why: The soulful live music and they...appear...to appreciate our patronage. However...I have seen...up close and personal what happens when a white waitress cries wolf...AND...I have seen with my own eyes what happens when the host supports that white waitress...ignorantly...and verbally attacks a Black person. I have seen AND heard a white bartender talk negatively...out loud...to white patrons about how that lying white waitress was right...but have no real idea of what actually happened. I've seen the owner/mgr speak to and attempt to calm that bartender down...and then witness his (the bartender's) demeanor get WORSE....esp towards Black Men. The staff is HORRIBLE!!

Be clear. I'm not saying anybody that works at Jack's is racist. I'm saying: I have chosen to NOT support Jack's anymore...and it is very much my decision to share with all Black people that you SHOULD NOT either. WE...should not be playing the fool AND lining the pockets of someone...anyone... masquerading as an ally...but who treats us like 2nd class citizens in the name of...business. WE spend PLENTY of money at Jack's...and it's almost always MATURE BLACK ADULTS. OUR MONEY IS....GOOD. We make Jack's LOOK GOOD....period. I have spoken to musicians who disagree to a degree...and I completely understand their point about having/needing a stage and the scarcity of them. I get it. The music needs a place to live...but this is California 2023....not the deep south in the 40's or the 70's.

Jack's....DO BETTER!! Black people beware. Have some pride...and make them aware you...

so I've been hearing about this place from friends and Facebook and saw the food on the Jack's bbq shack Facebook page - it looked so good. so today I had a doctor's appointment that was in the same area , so I figured hey ima stop by this place and finally get a taste of the food myself. so I get close to the building it's small but not so easy to miss , the parking lot is a small dirt lot could be bigger and more organized but not bad. I pull into the parking lot and walk in , as you walk in ur greeted by staff and asked how they can help you the 2 ladies that helped me where really professional but at the same time really nice [ made the experience better ] . she asked me if I wanted to dine in or order to go " I stated that I was new and wasnt sure what I wanted " she then pointed to the counter and said their was a menu i could look at if I wanted " I said thank you" I saw on the wall as I walked in deals of the day and for Wednesday their gallery sandwiches where 6.99 so that's the first thing I looked at on the menu I then asked staff what was a favorite she said the bbq beef so that's what I ordered. I also scanned over the menu and so so many things that I would like to try, so u can bet that i will return but back to the story i got my food and a sticker of their name and went home after I got home and started to eat [ everything was soooooo good ] you could taste how the meat was smoked and rich in flavor the bread was perfect and the fries where flavorful and just right and for that price it was a deal u cant beat. long story short everything I heard about this place was true they are in fact amazing and I will return this is a new favorite for me and I highly recommend you try this place I guarantee you won't be...
