We visited here months ago, but I am just now writing this review. (If that doesn't tell you how great it was, I don't know what to say). Short Review: GO HERE - You will be happy you did! It was a simple coffee break on the road for us, and it was odd as google popped up a café open seemingly in the middle of nowhere. We took a gamble driving down a residential street (thinking are we sure about this) .... and it paid off. The coffee shop is down underneath the lodge, but that's okay because that's the side of the building with the views! It is a quaint and wonderful place. The pictures of the interior are accurate - it is that cool. And the views looking out towards Pike's Peak are incredible. Pictures will not do it justice.
We had two great cups of coffee (one a latte) and they were amazing and served in oversized mugs. Sitting on the back balcony sipping the amazing beverage, we continued to laugh because we thought there is no way this is real. This is too perfect. The staff was so kind and I hope they can continue to get business so I can visit again when I am back...

If you walk down along the building, under the covers porch, then enter and walk back into the lodge, you'll come to a staircase on your right. Wild Horse Cafe and Cap's Pizza are both accessible downstairs from that set of stairs. At the bottom of the stairs, you'll circle around a large fireplace in the center of the room to get to...
Read moreA true gem, delicious food and coffee with a fantastic view and very friendly staff. This place is never crowded and I don't understand why. Obviously a lot of people don't know about it yet or it would be. We love it!
Edit on 1/10/24 -

There is a little fridge in front of the counter that has some premade coffee cake slices in it and I'm not allowed to buy one because the cafe portion is closed. But it's not like I want to have them actually MAKE me something from the cafe menu. I just want to buy something already premade. But I can't. It makes no sense. That coffee cake is just going to sit there going bad. I normally love it here but this is definitely...
