Driven by many times, it is incredibly popular. Wondered how so many cars for a building that looked kinda small. It's bigger than it looks, and they pack em in there! In season a large outdoor area with a lot of activities.
One pool table, a row of dartboards and the requisite, but unfortunate, gambling machines. Probably the most comfortable bar stools this butt has ever graced, and there have been many, but please leave a few inches between them!
Didn't look at the second row of taps at the other end of the bar, my favorite Furious was right in front of me. So we will give them an Aplus for selection.
I have only three stars for service, but I would bet they are generally much better than that. They just hit a lull early/mid-afternoon on a Sunday, and may have been a little shell shocked....enough where my empty glass was walked my many times. I do hate ensemble service!
The turkey melt was very good (real carved turkey it seemed like), the fries not bad.
The $6.50 per (lousy pour) is why I will never go back. It seems you get these townie kinda places that think they can charge above market for premium beer. They might sell more if they didn't.... that's bowling alley prices (and maybe a fifty cent surcharge). More than Wisco's, way more than The Brick House, or The District and Mogies (especially at...
Read moreMy first visit was bingo. I had 2 seltzer drinks. One person charged me $4 and one charged me $5. Which is it? I have heard this happened to others and they no longer patron the establishment, so I'll say something next time if it occurs again as I didnt notice until we were leaving and it waa busy w check outs. Bingo was interesting. I'd do that again.
My 2nd visit was for Friday fish fry. There was an obnoxious drum beat for about 20 minutes on the speaker. I couldn't hear my server so I tried to read her lips. She asked us if we wanted mini donuts. I thought she asked us if we wanted the check. So I said, "Yes, us 3 are together ". She giggled as she walked away and brought me my check. We had to scream at one another during the meal (6pm) because the music was so loud. I did say something and I think it got turned down a smidge but it went right back up. We would have stayed longer and spent more but my husband was annoyed that it was too loud and we were fed up w nodding at one another because we had no idea what the friends we invited out were saying. I will have the fish fry again......to go.
I get it, it's a bar. But it's pretty classy and you do have a full menu so maybe compromise and crank it up at 8 or 9 when all the dinner...
Read moreI was car shopping with a friend & she suggested it to eat. I would have rather gone next door, but agreed to try it. before we even ordered we were ready to walk out. Was round 430pm on a Thursday. we had terrible service. I honestly couldnt tell you who our server/bar tender was. the gal that gave us menus didnt take our order, it took 10 mins. A different girl brought our food & someone else took the check. Just seemed like we were being ignored. I was a cook for many yrs. I understand ppl have off days. I also get the girls were showing favor to guys & regulars for tips-dont go gettin all upset, we all know servers & bartenders live off tips & should get tips. But to ignore or look bothered you have to quit chatting & flirting it up to help other customers is another thing all together. I dont have a problem giving 25% or higher if service & food exceeded my expectations. Which by the way, was a good thing food was great! Even though I thought service completely failed in every way (thanku kitchen, u saved this review from being much worse) I mite even try coming back if Im in town, if next door is too busy & if I didnt have another place in mind already. Who am I kidding, Thats a lot of ifs...sorry kitchen guys, you did awsome. I didnt leave hungry...
