Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Lake in the Hills

Been patronizing this place for 25 years. Never again. First in line at drive-thru with no customers inside. Three teen-age girls working (more like screwing around). Waited at the drive-thru looking in the window for about 10 minutes for a hot fudge sundae and mini blizzard. For close to 5 minutes I saw none of them making anything while the line was building. Then there were several treats made and handed over the counter inside. Finally got my treats which were half melted. Got home to find my blizzard had no flavor. Went back to complain and ask for a refund. Was told no refund and that they were out of Peach Cobbler for the blizzard. There were now 10 people inside and about 10 cars in the drive-thru. The idiot in charge gave me the personal phone number of the Manager whom I called immediately upon leaving. She will need to review the situation on Monday. I told her that if those girls worked for me, they'd be fired. A very sad reality with today's youth. No accountability, no concerns, and no compassion for the customer. Just attitude. Manager...

This location sucks and has always sucked. I've lived in lake in the hills for 16 years and I'd say skip this place and go to the one in Crystal lake. It's run by kids and the manager let's everything slide. The service is slow and I've had countless bad expirences here. I'll give a few examples:

1. My mom stopped taking my brother and I here as kids because the employees were talking about getting super drunk and doing Jager bombs together after work. How professional, they are all visibly under age.
2. Girl gave me attitude at the drive though and intentionally spilled a blizzard on me. So much for upside down thick, right?
3. The final straw that broke the camel's back, I waited 40 minutes in the drive though tonight with 2 cars in front of me and nobody inside. The person in front of me skipped the line and pulled away. I watched 2 girls repeatedly​ screw around and play with their hair, touch their faces, and scratch their heads. We all get itches, I understand that. WASH YOUR HANDS THEN.

To start this off the people working the drive through are very friendly and respectful. On our last order they messed something up which I understand because this place gets super busy. So we pull back around wait in the line so they can correct the mistake. But we were met by which we think is the manger she is actually one of the most rude people I’ve ever met she made us feel like idiots. We had about a 5 min conversation on how she was right and we were wrong and the conversation ended with her slamming the drive through window closed in our face. We actually lost our appetite and didn’t eat the ice cream. We go here once or twice a week it’s a nice place but be aware if they get your order wrong.
