I'm from NYC... I bought my house in The Hideout.. so yea...excuse me for being a snot about this... but imma go in .....
THIN! ...dough stretched to the point of NOTHING and it wasn't crispy atleast...it was sloppy, floppy and no form...it doesn't fold, it falls apart...
The amount of grease was nauseating...coagulation in the middle, can't call it a pie...a mess...
The cheese has a weird off coloration to it... doesn't taste like a good shredded mozzarella blend....gross is an understatement
How this place has a higher rating than Palermo (which isn't great but better than this) is beyond me. The best pizza I've tried close to home is Renos in Hawley...the closest I've had to a NY slice since moving here...
You can pass this off as pizza to these country types...sure... but I was raised on Patsys in East Harlem...this place should be embarrassed serving this to the...
Read moreWe drove by several times while moving into the area (from NY). While unpacking we decided to call and order a pie from here. Good God this was one of the best pizzas we have ever eaten. The sauce is on point! Not too sweet and not too overpowering and they use the right amount. You can tell they use that good fresh cheese on their pies. You get juuust a bit of grease from the milk fat but nothing you’d need to dab a napkin at which is how God intended it to be. The toppings are delicious and fresh and the pie itself had a beautiful cook on it. Nice slight char on the dough but still a nice flop to the dough in the middle. The people are friendly, the shop is clean and inviting. Cash only at the time of writing but they have an atm. 10/10 our go to spot for the area. Now I made myself hungry writing this and need to order a chicken parm and a meatball pie...
Read moreI typically do not post about local businesses. I have been here before under the old ownership of Simon and his wife. Went over the weekend to give the place a try under the new owners. The staff is absolutely friendly. However the food was nothing like it was before. I ordered a variety of things. The chefs salad was the only thing that was good, after reading some reviews I can say the same thing Stromboli tasted very funny something was bad. Me and my family did not even finish it. We threw it away. I had an order of wings as well the wings are good sized, but poorly cooked. Extremely dry, seemed to me they aren’t made to order. I may go back with the kids for ice cream, how ever I don’t recommend this place for food. Again though super friendly people. Hopefully they can pull it together, if not businesses do not survive in...
