Truly can't say enough about this lovely place. They roast their own coffee to perfection, including espresso. We had a dark roast and an Americano. The "kitchen" doesn't open until 11 and we were a bit early to be able to order a sandwich but they had bagels with cream cheese and sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits that were delicious, plus we had a delectable french toast muffin.
The ambiance is so soothing and also a bit educational. The decor from the personal collection of the owner was entirely local historical items which made it feel like a fun museum. We thoroughly enjoyed the various displays and particularly the old coin op coffee machines.
The service was wonderful. The woman working behind the counter had all the patience in the world for my wandering covid brain (yes, covid causes brain damage apparently) and not only answered my many questions but also filled me in on the history of the place and her joy in working there.
We also had the pleasure to meet the owner. We figured he was the owner because he was meticulously cleaning as he walked through and had an eye for detail that fit the space. He was an absolute delight to chat with.
So glad we stumbled across such a lovely spot. Wonderful way to start a...
Read moreMy husband, our three girls, and I visited this restaurant today and were blown away by the experience! The paninis were absolutely sensational — even my picky eater devoured hers, and it had both spinach and tomato, which is a first for her. The ice cream was incredible, and to our delight, they had Superman flavor — our family favorite!
The prices were very reasonable, and the atmosphere was clean, welcoming, and full of charm. The owner was an absolute gem — kind, helpful, and genuinely engaging in conversation not just with my husband and me, but with our girls as well.
From start to finish, everything about this place exceeded our expectations. I truly have nothing but good things to say. We’ll...
Read moreDo yourself a favor (7am-3pm) and drive the 2 whole miles off the Interstate and stop in at this wonderful little oasis of a coffee shop, hosted by delightful, caring family-owners behind the counter. You can tell they not only have an eye for Quality and for Detail, for aesthetic and customer experience too, but they clearly put their heart & soul into this small-town business. Obviously you'll need a coffee, but promise me you'll grab a fresh-baked pastry too. They're delicious! (I know announcing this makes it more likely that the croissants will be gone when I get there, but alas... (... Maybe they'll save me one in the...
