Our bachelorette party chartered a boat this last Saturday. Because it was our 1st time in the Ozarks our boat caption suggested Coconuts. We arrived to the boat dock and entered through the dock entrance. There was 12 of us, all of them were in their mid 20s except myself MOB and the MOG and two bridesmaids that were family in their late teens. At entry I asked if they could come in and was told the pool rules and they’d have an X on their hand. We were happy they could be mostly a part of the time. I ask the girls if they want anything to drink because I was paying for them. One didn’t want anything and the other one, one said a Diet Coke.I walked up to the bar right there by the security stand on the dock. And the young lady helped me with my Diet Coke request. I ordered it she simply picked up the little gun thing that has soda in it put ice in a cup and brought me my drink charged me $3.94. I tipped her a dollar on my credit card. Life is good we start following the rest of the bachelorette party. They enter into what we believe to be the adult pool so myself and the teen girls stop at the security stand there and verify they can be in there. We’re told yes do not go into the pool. The rest of the bachelorette party sat on the edge of the pool and the teenage girls were unsure what to do and a little bit uncomfortable. Not sure if they were allowed to sit there or not. I was staying with my nieces trying to keep them comfortable so that my daughter the bride could be enjoying her party. At this time the security guard comes up to us and ask what we have in the cup. We say Diet Coke and he said oh you have this colored straw and you’re only supposed to have those if you’re 21 and we’re like we don’t know we got a soda he walked off . The teenagers decide they’re just going to lay on some pool chairs they go up to the pool chairs at a girl comes up and says those are there they can’t sit there. So the girls come back to me and say we don’t want to make Lexi the bride leave and we’re uncomfortable so we’re going to go just hang out on the boat. I said I’ll use the restroom and I’ll come join you.
the teenage girls and myself were just chatting on the boat enjoying ourselves And this shorter, dark-haired security guard is walking fiercely down the dock and we’re watching him and we’re like is he coming over to us? Sure enough he comes in hot and says to me what did you get in that glass and I said Diet Coke, he said ‘You’re a liar we only have diet Pepsi, and I checked with all the bartenders, and we’ve only sold two diet Pepsi’s and they weren’t to you.’ I was absolutely flabbergasted!! If I would’ve been thinking I would have walked him back to the lady who helped me and had her pull my receipt because I paid with a card. I was so absolutely shocked. I said was that is not true. I ordered a Diet Coke. The bartender didn’t say anything to me and filled the cup up with ice and soda from the gun. I told him how much I paid how much I tipped. My niece try to give him the glass so he could try it himself. He wouldn’t take it. We told him bartenders are humans they made a mistake and he told us they’re highly professionals and they do not make mistakes. I said to him I wish I would’ve saved my receipt because I am completely correct that I bought soda. He said with continued arrogance and anger, well I won’t throw your group out now, but one more incident. We were in our boat on the dock already and didn’t do what we were accused of!
We sat there trying to decided if we make this inappropriate situation, the bridal parties problem too. We decided to not bother my daughter and her other bridesmaids with the poor behavior we had experienced, but we will never come back to Coconuts again in our life!!!!! I am 49 years old, and I have never had somebody treat me like that, and I was telling the truth the whole time and was provable if he would’ve asked me questions like which bar who helped me did I pay with a card versus coming and yelling at me calling me a liar and...
Read moreSo this has happened to us 2x now at coconuts. I'll tell you about the last visit. A group of 4 girls showed up. We ordered drinks and hit the 21 plus pool. Which was good. I did get a total of 5 beer bottle caps stuck to the bottom of my feet which were painful but I dealt with it. Ordered 2 more frozen drinks. $26 total. But I noticed their was no alcohol taste at all!! Went and ordered 2 more just in case it was me. Total $73 for 6 drinks. Still no alcohol, so I asked. Bartender said the frozen drinks are not made with hardly any rum at all. That'd what the shooter was for. 1 shooter in 12oz is not a good drink. Way to rip people off coconuts!! So we ordered call drinks next. They were way better and a little more cost effective. I was reading the sign and it says 20% gratuity automatically added if using a card. that's where we drew the line on the drinks. no place gets to decide how much I tip my server. it's a gratuity not a bill. I get to choose not them!! Way to scam people coconuts!! The straw that broke the camels back (&this is what has happened 2x) they just close the place up. No warning. No last call. Nothing. Bar windows closed. Pool was emptied. And it was only 6pm on a monday. There was probaly 100 people there tillthey just decided to close the place. I also want to add the 21and over pool is not such.they had many of 16ish1year old kids swimming on that side. Parents were present but still I didn't sign up to swim with teens! So were all locald live here year round. Great for tourist that want to waste money butmoney cool to the locals whom try to support local. We won't be back. Not that our few thousand a year we spend there matters but the bad word of mouth does. Just sad they can't get it together enough to even keep their hours straight. Do I recommend going there?? Only if your ok with...

The pool staff, bar staff and waitress were very friendly and gave us great customer service. When we told the staff downstairs that we were here for a family reunion with family traveling from all over the US to get there they were nice enough to open the gift shop just for us to purchase souvenirs when they normally don’t open that early during the weekdays. Unfortunately the service at the restaurant did not go as well as the rest of our time there. The waitress was very polite and prompt but the management was not. My mother ordered chicken tacos and a virgin margarita. When the food came we asked the waitress if she could have her meal remade plain with only chicken, tortilla and lettuce (she hadn’t taken a bite yet but with the coleslaw filled with Mayo she would have become deathly ill and in the hosp if she even had taken a couple bites of it due to health issues). The waitress said she would have the kitchen remake it. A few minutes later she returned and said that her manager told her that they can remake it but it will cost another $14 for the meal to be remade. You could tell the poor waitress felt terrible and embarrassed for her managements guest service. We left her plate food and mine on the table untouched as we were disgusted. As much money as our entire family had spent that day the and to be treated so poorly over something like that was just unacceptable. Needless to say, our re-occurring family reunion of more than 2 dozen people will not be returning to this establishment if that is what they consider to be good or even descent customer service. Very...
