Lazy Gators — Restaurant in Lakeside

Well, the name definitely fit the help. I walked in with my group of 4 people on Saturday around 2 or 3 in the afternoon. Immediately we were greeted well by the bouncer and shot girls, but then the experience plummeted downhill. We sat down at a table and waited for one of the 3 servers aimlessly walking around to bring us menus, which they never did. Then my father walked up to the bar to see if we could get drinks after 25 minutes of waiting. It took another 10 minutes to get our drinks, after being told they couldn't make two of the ones we requested, with no reasoning. We ordered pizza that came out quickly and was delicious, but then the end of our experience really sealed the deal. My father wanted one drink to go as we were leaving the restaurant, but once he ordered it the bartender looked confused. He asked if they had the drink and she said yes but "it's all the way over there" motioning to the poolside bar less than 50 yards away. Needless to say, he ordered whatever they had in their mixers and we left. Overall, terrible experience which is disappointing given how many good reviews...

We reserved a private cabana for seven of us. We spend close to $350 on drinks and food. We were there for a total of 4 hours and our cabana girl checked in on us three times. She was never to be found and we had to hunt down three other cabana girls to find ours so we could pay our ticket and leave. Drinks were good, food was okay if taking 1 hour for a 10in pizza is your style, but service is horrible. Not worth it when you're wanting to spend a ton of money but can't order a drink when your waitress is no where to be found.

It’s a shame this place is so “lazy”. It had such potential to be so great. The sanctuary area has great potential but just like the rest of the property, the staff is lazy. If you aren’t Daddy Warbucks or have a dangle don’t even try to get a waitress’ attention. If you are a woman you are invisible to them. The pizza is good but way overpriced. $7.50 for a slice. They don’t even use their profits to stock toilet paper or soap in the bathrooms which makes me wonder where staff washes their hands before...
