Son made reservation while visiting me. They accommodate my walker by setting us in an area that had space to the right for the walker to sit the waitress, Landon, was awesome. She was Johnny on the spot with any special orders we had. She was very accommodating and offered suggestions were needed, and she appeared out of nowhere almost as soon as we sat down we both got the rib steak. Mine was exactly as I requested, which was medium well and pink, not bloody. And I have to say it was the best steak I’ve had anywhere in the last eight years since moving here to Zelienople at Passavant. It was too big to eat there so half went home with me and was just as good the next day. On the other hand, my son was able to eat his entire meal. So moral is if you’re craving the most awesome steak in the whole wide world go to log cabin and get their ribeye steak it’s boneless and they cook it exactly the way you request. Everything else we got with the steak was also awesome. Their areas are semiprivate. They even have an outdoor eating area for the summertime that was practically full. It’s best to make a reservation which we did and even though there were people waiting to get in we didn’t even have to wait five minutes. They had the table ready for us and took his right straight back there as soon as we walked in the door so if you haven’t tried to log cabin yet, try it I think they’re doing some remodeling at some point and the neat thing about it. Is they have parts of the old original log cabin are still there. You can see him right when you’re walking from the parking lot and into the inside, and they also have a lot of antique type relics and things on display on the walls and allit’s really a neat place to go and the food is awesomely delicious!! I need to add I’m a senior citizen and I usually don’t eat very much and I did have enough left over to take home and eat the next day. I actually only ate about half of it. They were really large...
Read moreBeen going here for years. This experience was the worst. As someone who also works in the food service industry you should never let your stress be taken out on your patrons. Made reservations over a month ago for 2pm. Came and checked in were told we had to wait. No big deal we were all fine with that, completely understood they were slammed. Half hour into waiting, another couple who had reservations came in. After they went to check in, they came out and announced loudly they had to give up there table so that we could all sit together. Staff should not be telling patrons they have to give up there table (which their reservations were AFTER our time) in order to sit another table. That was awkward for us. Upon being told our table was ready, we were never taken to a table, we asked where we were to sit and the hosted rudely points in a direction. Okay fine we found the table. The waiter dumped a basket of bread and butter on my nephew's head accidentally (it's cool we all make mistakes) but no one seemed to give a care in the world other than a simple "sorry". Like the basket was metal and the kid had butter all over him. My husband then found a small 4oz plastic solo cup lid inside his drink once he was half way done with the drink. Waiter laughed and that was it. I was charge 18 dollars for a drink I never received. We told the waiter and he replied " Oh, that never came out?", and he adjusted the bill. Never have I ever felt like such an inconvenience at a place, especially with the amount of mess ups on their behalf. We weren't a suprise table. I never post things like this because I am usually completely understanding as I too am a human. However, I would never make a table feel like they are a problem. I always over apologize and go above and beyond if mistakes were made with any misgivings on mine or my restaurants part. Not going...
Read moreI recently dined at Log Cabin Inn and wanted to share my thoughts on the experience. Overall, while the food was good, I found the service to be subpar, and the mixed drinks to be weak.
Let's start with the positive aspect: the food. I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed the dishes I ordered. The flavors were well-balanced, and the presentation was appealing. The menu offered a variety of options, and the quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite. Whether it was the savory main courses or the delectable desserts, the culinary offerings at Log Cabin Inn left a positive impression.
However, I was disappointed with the level of service I received during my visit. The waitstaff seemed disengaged and inattentive. It took quite some time to get their attention, and even then, their response was lackluster. They appeared to be rushing through the motions without providing the warm and attentive service that one would expect from a dining establishment. This lack of attentiveness detracted from the overall dining experience and left me feeling somewhat neglected as a customer.
The other negative experience was shown in the drinks. It's always disheartening when you order a cocktail or a mixed drink and find it lacking in flavor or potency. The mixed drinks tasted as if they had no alcohol in them at all.
In summary, Log Cabin Inn offers good food with a diverse menu that caters to different tastes. However, the service fell short of expectations, as the waitstaff seemed disinterested and inattentive. While the experience was not perfect, the restaurant's strengths in terms of their culinary offerings should not be overlooked, and improvements in service would certainly enhance the overall dining experience at...
