I came to this cafe with my parents and relatives around 2:30 pm. We found out about this place because my uncle and aunt previously came here in times past and enjoyed the coffee and treats. I may have to say this cafe is quite interesting not because of what they have to offer but of what they show. They have a window once you’re inside where you can see the machinery and workers downstairs processing the coffee into the bags. For me it’s been years probably since I have traveled to the island many times before and seen a place like this outside San Juan on the way to Lares where they do this kind of thing. We all enjoyed the cakes we were having. My parents and relatives drink coffee but normally I don’t I drink tea but that’s okay. I liked the wallpaper decoration along the wall as well as the atmosphere inside of the place where I was sitting at. We bought 2 bags of coffee and a cake when left. I don't take it likely when I say this is among the best coffee I've tasted, and we drink a lot of coffee and are picky. Great coffee flavor but not bitter! We had a 12 oz latte and it was so good. Perfect foam, image of an angel, rich coffee flavor. I wish they had bigger cups!
Also had the fried queso del pais (fried local cheese) with puerto rican honey! Oh boy we went through that like a buzz saw. The slight saltiness of the slightly crispy cheese with the sweetness of the local honey (which i always think is so much better that off the shelf honey) was excellent.
The coffee factory is in the same building but getting a tour requires up front reservations (I asked).

Service was horrible & the food worst - I asked for sweet breakfast (waffles with fruit, bacon, egg omelette with veg. & Cheese When server came with my breakfast, no vegetables, eggs we're overcooked (brown underneath) I asked what happened to my order, she just looked @ me like she could not undertand what I was saying, she never offered to exchange my food for what I really order, waffles were very hard & dry very dissatisfied.
