So I'm pretty disappointed today was my first time I had ever went into trapperz I have heard so many good things about this establishment. I was meeting my business partner to who had talked me into going to trappers. He said it was laid back and had great quick customer service. As I get in we sit at the bar and the bartender tells us to move to a table because she's not serving him for apparently something he said she took offense to at Frenchtown bar. As far as I knew, correct me if I'm wrong, Frenchtown bar and Trapperz are not affiliated with each other. Be that as it may there was no good reason for her to refuse service (we were not or didn't look as if we were under the influence of and alcohol or substance nor do we look under age) she didn't even ask or say anything of that nature. It is simply because she does not like him which is an absurd reason to turn down business and very unprofessional I can not see that woman being a very good manager especially in an environment such as a bar. She refused to serve me as well. I have never met the lady before in my life. So the waitress takes our order and proceeds to fill it and crystal (the bartender/ manager) tells the waitress to put it back she is not to serve us. To me first impressions are lasting and of all the bars I have been to this was the absolute worst experience not to mention very embarrassing how she began to raise her voice in at us in front of the other customers. I felt disrespected and belittled by the behavior and actions of your bartender. I feel you should know of my encounter at your establishment and I'm very sorry to say I won't be bringing any business because of your bartender i wish i could say different but there is no excuse to be treated in that manner as a respectful...

Read moreI found this place to be a little underwhelming. Expensive too. All in all, I didn't hate the place but didn't find it exceptional.
I did get to try the turtle soup, which was quite an interesting experience. I didn't find it to be great, but it was worth trying I guess. It kind of tasted like alphabet soup.
I ordered chicken wings also and they were above average but not much more than that. The sauce was pretty generic and the quality of the meat of the wings was average as well.
The prices I found to be a little high. Mind you, there were only about 7 wings in the order and the turtle soup was not a big bowl. I ordered those 2 things and 1 draft beer and my bill came to about $30.
The service was good, but it seemed like there were way too many people working. There were about 10 people working and about 18 customers. Even if the building were at full capacity, the amount of staff was excessive.
Overall, the place was good but not $30 good. Perhaps I should have tried a dinner special and just got a water...
