Hogan's Haven Acres — Restaurant in Lathrop

This was our first time coming here and it was a happy surprise.

Kind of hidden away with a small parking lot. They are in the marina and a small mobile home park.

Inside the bar is small, maybe holds about 60 people max. Some tables and some seats at the bar. They have 2 TV's at the bar but none in the back area where the tables are. I hope they add one otherwise you could not watch any games on the TV.

Bartender, I think Jennifer, was very very nice. Since it was our first time she helped explain the menu. They were out of wings that Sunday (bummer) but other stuff was pretty good. We had the fish tacos and I had a veggie wrap. We also tried the appetizer sampler plate. Not much for non meat eaters, but you the veggie wrap was good and filling.

We played darts, they could use some new darts as the ones that are there are worn and old. My husband still beat me.......

We had beer and soda so I can not comment on the drinks. It was after a big storm so the water was high, but there are outside seats on the water and you can park your boat if you come from the water.

Overall a fun afternoon and full from the food....

I've been going to this place for years. Rich and his staff are amazing and make you feel welcome. My mom is not doing that good lately but enjoys the time we spend on the deck. We were there last Sunday and what started out to be just four of us turned into being about 12 of us. Family kept coming down. There was a large party that had a reservation but they made room and all had a good time. This place has good food, great service and no drama. I highly recommend this place!!! (3/15/20)

We loss mom. We do a yearly Alzheimer's walk and the whole family comes here after the walk to remember her. The staff is extremely welcoming! Mary took care of our crew and provided great service, Rich even came out to our table to say hi. We go there often, but this is a special time for the whole family. Can't say enough good stuff about this place and their service. Thank you Rich and the whole staff for always making this place a great...

I recently visited this place with some friends after seeing their advertised $3 margaritas, but when we got the bill, we were charged $4 instead. Confused, we politely approached the owner to clarify the situation. What we got in return was not an explanation but the most disrespectful reaction possible. He actually threw $10 in our faces as if that would solve anything. To make things worse, even the bartenders were shaking their heads and mentioned that their boss was "being a dick." This whole experience was beyond disappointing. Not only is the false advertising unacceptable, but the owner's behavior was completely unprofessional and hostile. It ruined our night, and no one deserves to be treated like that. I definitely won’t be returning, and I’d advise others to avoid this place at all costs. There are much better spots where the staff and owners treat you with respect...
