Depot Cafe — Restaurant in Lattimore

Every time I visit the depot cafe it reminds me of when I was a little girl growing up in lattimore and attending lattimore school for head start. Which is now an ambassador college. The food is great and at a Great spending price! I love the old fashion theme and all of the antiques hanging on the wall! I will always return for the food down to my favorite livermush eggs grits with butter and toast to the wonderful southern cooking to the home fries to the sweet tea! This is definitely a home run for me and as a country southern gal I am I recommend this cafe to all.!!! I wish you stayed open later! I remember last year ordering a pancake and the pancake was the size of a ballon I know!!! I remember taking it home and eating it for dinner...it was that big!!! It was good too! I love the train in front of the building!!!! Sweet tea!!!! I want more diversity in this place and I think people are missin out on the depot!!!! Don't worry I'll advertise this on my instagram! Iwork right down the road so I come here at least twice a week for lunch, I love the atmosphere of the old train depot and the staff are all amazing! I love the girls that set our table up and get our drinks, they know us all and what our usuals are and make us feel right at home like part of the family! Had a wonderful lunch meal for two today, before going on a hike at the Broad River greenway. Warm, friendly service! My wife had a cheeseburger and it was great, she highly recommended it! I had the chicken and rice casserole special with pinto beans and greens, served with cornbread. Each item was well prepared and the combination was delightful and plenty of food!
